This is listed on Amazon as out of stock on CD. Was there ever a CD release, or is this a mistake and it’s download only on audio?

I ask because I ordered the CD a few weeks ago, and it’s giving a dispatch date of February 21st next year, but they’ve already charged me rather than on dispatch, now it’s saying “dunno”.

The audio CD was scheduled for 1st may 2024 but I think it may have been cancelled as it seems not to be available. It is available as an audible download but the CD seems not to have come out

I always enjoyed the short story collections that were required Christmas time reading. Such as Twelve Doctors of Christmas, Time Lord Fairy Tales, Myths and Legends and Tales of Terror. It was a shame to miss last year so will be good to have this one.

I do feel having the stories solely feature ten take some of the fun away as it was always nice to work out which Doctor was in each story.

All this fuss over the Tennant Doctor’s is just reminding me of when they tried to make the “Dark Dimension” episode for either the 30th or 40th anniversaries.

Starring the 4th Doctor and reducing the 5th, 6th and 7th Doctors to bit parts and finishing by suggesting they never happened, if memory serves correctly.

For the 60th are we suppose to now think Doctor’s 11, 12 and 13 were figments of our imaginations and the 14th Doctor is just a continuation of the 10th Doctor as if he never left.

Will this make the 15th Doctor the new 11th?

    Time will tell.

I’ve just read the novelisation of lost in the dark dimension again last month. It has to said the story really isn’t very good. As a 30th anniversary story (if it had been made) it is a bit insulting to the 3rd, 5th, 6th and especially the 7th doctors. I will be very annoyed if Russell is going down the dismissing the 11th, 12th, 13th and war doctors route. Again it would be very insulting to the writers and actors. I can’t see him doing it but if he did I would have to think about continuing to watch the show. After 48 years watching it would be a hard decision to make. I personally just feel it would be an insult to fans as well. Doctor’s 11, 12 and 13 have their own fan base (Smith is my favourite new who doctor) and to dismiss them feels like it would be a huge mistake. Thinking about it I think I would stop watching. We will have to see.

I have a feeling the other NuWho Doctors will be referenced, we’ll probably get a few references to them, but I’d be surprised if they actually appeared or if the experiences the Doctor went through as them really had any affect on 14ant’s character or personality. They’ll probably reference Donna sorta influencing how 12 looks stuff from the Girl Who Died – maybe Clara’s exit because of the memory wipe stuff, but fully expect those to minor references, offhand comments rather than integral to the story being told, which will be Donna getting her memories back and the Doctor getting over the whole “I don’t want to go” attitude.

Yet again the fan base ready to disown doctor who based on their own fan theory……….. having witnessed the arrival of the 14th doctor and his confusion as to being in an old face (set up in the 50th), not sure how we make the leap to dreams and the dark dimension.

Here’s my idea for you (based on nothing seen or read online), PERHAPS the toymaker is using Donna Noble for a TBC reason and in an attempt to keep the doctor away, he manipulates the regeneration into a face that cannot interfere with Donna as this would kill her, creating an impossible scernio that requires alot of laws of time being broken? A silly monster from the 70s as a nice distraction whilst the toymaker moves his plans on.

This book has a story for both 10 and 14 that is a little treat ahead if the 60th.

Sorry people but David Tennant is by many metrics, the top doctor and with RTD trying to shoot doctor who back to the top, why not pull in as many old friends as possible, lighting strikes twice sometimes……

I know Tennant is playing the 14th doctor and ncuti is 15th but the concerns are still there. Frankly I doubt very much if Davies is heading down the route of dismissing doctor’s 11, 12 and 13, but in all honesty I’m not too excited about Tennant and Davies return. My concern is he will pander to the internet warriors, which seems to link into recasting Tennant. That along with concerns over the Disney deal in regards commercial releases (there are now a very large number of movies and TV shows unavailable to buy, leading to a massive increase in bootlegging) makes me concerned for the future of who.

Internet warriors have nothing to do with David’s return. It is well documented the journey that lead to his return. RTD explained it fully and how it was born from an idea during lockdown.

He was also VERY clear that the disney deal is a distribution deal for OUTSIDE the UK. Physical media for who Is going nowhere, it will likely follow the Limited edition route similar to big finish, Limited volume pressing which was happening YEARs before RTD and disney got involved. Look at the blu ray collections.

We should be grateful that doctor who’s future is secure and being supported by major companies…….but this was all documented in multiple doctor who magazines over the last 4 months….sigh

This makes sense, considering 10 is going to be the focus of the specials, but I do hope there’s another anthology of stories featuring all the Doctors alongside this.

The 14th doctor is the main doctor of the 60th

And 14ant is just 10, but later. Like, they’re the same guy, same mannerisms, same-ish costume, same face – this book does demonstrate that in a way, since it’s a bunch of 10th Doctor stories, advertised as a bunch of 10th Doctor stories, with the 60th era version of the character also included because they’re the same version.

Ok this just feels like nostalgia bait in particular.

This should be a collection of stories from all the doctors. It’s hardly anniversary material with only one doctor.
