I am guessing this is not happening now.
WHSmith has seriously cut its range back to a handful of thicker comics with a square spine, or more accurately Smith’s supplier. Nothing in a couple of branches I’ve checked in the South.

    Anyone else found it?

Same where I am, there must have been about 20 titles in the comics section, this included, but now there are just about 5 Marvel issues and that’s it. I’m taking out a subscription as I doubt there’ll be any chance of me finding it in the wild now.

Titan doesn’t publish their DC superhero reprint titles any more, so those are gone from WH Smith; magazines come with a take-off-sale date. Then apparently there’s a lot of shoplifting…

Titan’s on Twitter but doesn’t seem to say much – but I don’t really know how to use Twitter, so I may be not seeing everything.

Shark, re-reading – were you talking about Forbidden Planet for “trade” collections of Doctor Who stories, rather than “Tales from the TARDIS”? The catch being that missing “Tales” loses you typically three stories from different Doctors, that are liable to be in three different albums. I think we do also need to remember that it isn’t a bulletin of essential information that we’re short of.

And, is this also published online – legally?

Thursday 16th May – found ONE copy in McColl’s grocer (!), Almada Street, Hamilton. Sorry folks, mine! Maybe this is where they went. I can check two or three other McColl’s nearby??

They also had “Rick & Morty”!

W H Smith, East Kilbride – also checked, nope, neither. of those. I didn’t count the Marvel titles, which I think there are 7 of that may appear, as well as some Marvel one-shot collections currently like “Avengers Disassembled”.

I kept looking – McColl’s in Burnbank, and McColl’s near to Hamilton Central train/bus station, each have one copy of “Tales from the TARDIS” on the shelf today. And also “The Simpsons” (separately). This is weird… oh, it does say on the back page, “Get your newsagent to save you a copy.” Words to that effect, and probably time to do that.

Meanwhile, does anyone want me to…? (There are up to 3 more of this shop chain that I could reasonably get to, so…!)

Also I can summarise the stories included, when I have time actually to read the book!

I’d be interested to know what’s in the next issue? I presume New Beginning Part 3 and Wolves of Winter Part 3, but what’s the other one?

Issue 2.4 includes “A New Beginning”, “The Wolves of Winter”, and, says the contents page, “Revolving Doors” Part One – which seems however to be a complete adventure of Doctor Ten with Gabby.

Next time, on sale 20th June 2019:

      The Thirteenth Doctor:
      Theft of the TARDIS!

      The Twelfth Doctor:
      The frosty final showdown!

      The Tenth Doctor:
      Vortex Butterflies!

For the last few weeks I’ve been pestering my local WH Smith and checking the surrounding area with no luck. The person I spoke to at Smiths said they may have stopped ordering them in. As far as I know this was the only place they were available? I can’t find any on eBay, and there doesn’t appear to be any listings on forbidden planet. Do we know if this issue has actually been released, and has anyone managed to get it from anywhere??

Can’t find it anywhere in the North East. It’s three weeks late. I’m tempted to save some money, then buy the volume collection in Waterstones

FP are usually cheaper if you have a store near you, often £1 or 2 off the cover price and they sometimes have exclusive covers or signed editions.

I couldn’t find it anywhere locally. Had to buy it off ebay in the end. Titan really are useless! I originally has a subscription, but the mag always turned up two weeks after it was in the shops. They then missed two issues completely which I didn’t receive. Between this Comic & the Figurine Collection they are both getting to be a pain to get hold of!

No luck in Glasgow stores, but I haven’t tried Forbidden Planet yet…? Is there anyone who DOES have a copy?
