Got mine today, and as feared there is no “Revolution of the Daleks”. Thanks for leaving out one episode in the timeline once again, Mr. whoever is behind the steelbook production. I wonder how many neurons it takes to understand it should be included. 🙁

Er, it doesn’t exactly hide that revolution isn’t included. People just seem to want to complain these days.

@children, Was it clearly written down somewhere? I didn’t see any content breakdown at least. I would expect it to be included as the Christmas/New Year special have always been included in this series of steelbooks, except for “Once Upon a time”, which was still unexplained but at least I could guess that being due to a new doctor and new production team being at the helm.

For the record, I would have bought this steelbook anyway. What I cannot possibly understand is why you would put out a comprehensive, 16-year-spanning series and just leave out 2 friggin’ episodes. It’s just senseless from a watcher perspective. I’m at least holding out hope that it will be included (in the wrong order) in the next steelbook which I would assume covering the 2022 specials.

And no, I don’t just want to complain, there’s plenty I like about the steelbooks and Doctor Who in general, so I would appreciate if you just didn’t assume people’s intentions.

Hi Rob! Hope they will make the effort to include the 2021 new year’s special as well, otherwise it will weirdly be left out of the steelbook collection, just as “twice upon a time” did…

I’ve recently started collecting the steel books despite my not liking much of the Moffat years. I missed series one and badly want a reissue I have 2-8 and 11 and 12 and I too find Resolution of the Daleks being omitted very annoying however I do agree they made no secret of it not being included

Recieved mine today and the steelbook looks great. One tiny issue is the insert doesn’t match the discs. The insert list episodes 1 to 4 on disc 1, and 5 & 6 on disc 2, but it is 3 on each. Not a big deal but at the best part of 40 quid for a two disc release you’d think the basics would be right.

      October 30th, 2021 - 4:39pm

Previous steel books on the animated episodes have had about an £11 gbp mark up.

This time it’s £16, I hope this is not common going forward.

I’ve purchased for now, but hope the price drops.

I’m in New Zealand as well and unfortunately it looks like there is nowhere else to order from. It is an Amazon exclusive steelbook. The series 12 steelbook was the same. We’ll both probably have to resort to ebay.

It is annoying that Amazon block NZ, but they’ve done that for 2 years now, ever since our govt introduced new gst rules on overseas goods. At least Zavvi still ships here and I’ve used them for Collection sets and animations, due to better versions/ avoidance of long wait times. In this case though, can’t use Zavvi :/

Hey, I’m in New Zealand and found a way to order this. If you go onto the New Zealand Post YouShop site, you can get a post address in the uk that you can ship orders to and once it arrives there you’ll get an email asking you to pay postage to send it to New Zealand. I haven’t ordered this way before but I do know additional postage can be expensive so keep that in mind (I’m expecting it to be around $50NZD for the additional postage but not 100% sure). I know that may not be the best solution but hope that helps. – Also just a note, when I ordered it came up as a discount down to £17.99 which was a bonus haha

      @ T

Thanks for the info, didn’t know they offered that service. Do they give you an estimate of the shipping cost before you have it sent to the UK address, or do you have to risk it?

Could you post how much it is once it arrives there? Am interested. It may be slightly different for me based on location but should be the same roughly.

I had no problem with pre ordering with amazon. I do however pre order all doctor who collection sets and steel books through amazon using the same amazon account and Uk delivery address.
Always been easy and problem free and always delivered when they say with payment taken roughly 3 or 4 days before delivery.

    • Isitneil

      December 15th, 2021 - 4:39pm

….in fact on the few occasions the change of release date meant I had insufficient funds in my account, was also easy and problem free. Amazon have always held my item for 7 days while I amended payment details (paid for it) in which case they took payment as soon as I updated payment details and dispatched it straight after. I have always found pre ordering with amazon gives me 100% peace of mind. I’ve never had any issues or problems. As a result even if the cost was less somewhere else I would now always and continue to use amazon.
