    I 2 boxes of uk and 2 boxes of usa and to be honest i was underwhelmed with them, from the 4 boxes i just managed to get 3 base sets, many packets (which contain 5 cards) came with 2 sometimes 3 of the same card over and over again. and a lot of the signers are mostly background rather than main characters. i did manage to pull a mandip signed card though.
    i do not feel they are great value for the cost.

      I think they are extremely expensive especially for such a poor set. Someone on ebay was selling packets at £7 each. Your sets sound awful – The same 2 or 3 cards over & over again? Sound’s like the mix was very badly done if that is what was coming out?

      Rittenhouse used to be great. Though they have gone downhill.
      Why can’t they just have one release not UK and Hobby.
      Used to love inkworks cards especially Buffy cards.
      Good subsets a few cards that were only found in every 3 boxes.
      Then you had several autographs.
      But not someone on screen for 10 seconds.

      Strictly ink could have been amazing but chase cards were lacking and boxes hardly ever contained the top tier Autos.

    Such a shame to go onto YouTube and see Americans opening up boxes upon boxes upon boxes of the UK Edition, having no knowledge of the show and just selling them.

    As per the cases will be split up and broken down and all the base sets will be sold for a tenner and all the rare chase cards will be sold for silly money. Topps trading cards usually packed 9 packs of cards in a display box with a huge block of polystyrene instead of filling the boxes with packs of cards. The amount of levels of cards now is ridiculous. Gone are the days where you could have a base set with a couple of promo cards and 2 or 3 levels of chase cards. Now it’s sketch cards autograph cards. Parallel cards. Costume cards.

      Parallel cards are the bane of Collector’s: They are designed to suck cash from Customers!

    Like most of these card sets, it will be impossible to find & complete a full set. You could easily blow £5,000 & still not get there. Judging by the prices on ebay (£400 for a Jodie Whittaker auto anyone?) it won’t happen.

      Trust me it will sell have not seen how many she signed but I know a rittenhouse Roger Moore bond auto used to easily fetch 500 for a few years.
      Personally this set is not for me so I’ll just wait for next set that covers earlier new series stuff.

      Sorry double post.
      Someone selling archive box on ebay (all auto cards and other cards).
      For about 1300 a bargain is what that is.

    Thanks for this info. Scifihobby have some info on case incentives too.
    Love having physical cards. I’m still searching to complete sci fi sets from 20+ years ago! I’ve an excellent collection of Strictly Ink cards and autos of the original doctors, cast and crew. Oh to have disposable income.

    Gone are the days where trading cards had lovely thoughtout artwork using new promo images. Now we just have promo images/ screengrabs that we have all seen before with a little bit of text on them. Its a shame really. Also the fact that the prices are unbelievably high – my jaw dropped when I saw the $1,999 price mark for just 24 boxes. Im sure this is a norm now, especially in America but its still such a shame that this is the best we can get.

    Nevertheless, I am still grateful that we are getting some trading cards at all. Its good that a company wants to release these. I hope the people that get these enjoy them and find the Autos that they want! If these do end up in shops over here, I might pick up some packs although I’m guessing it will be around £5 maybe more per pack.

    According to the details given on the Rittenhouse website for pre-orders the UK edition includes as well as the base set the following bonus sets:-

    include Regular Autograph Cards (1:8 Packs), including UK exclusives; Inscription Autograph Cards (1:24 Packs), including UK exclusives;
    60 Parallel Base Cards (1:1 Packs);
    60 TEAL TARDIS Foil-Stamped Parallel Base Cards (Numbered to 99 each)(UK Exclusive);
    60 ORANGE TARDIS Foil-Stamped Parallel Base Cards (Numbered to 50 each)(UK Exclusive);
    16 New Year’s Specials Cards (1:24 Packs);
    1 New Year’s Special 2019 Poster Card (1:288 Packs (UK Exclusive);
    7 Asia/Painted Poster Cards (1:48 Packs) (UK Exclusive);
    4 Graffiti Art Character Cards (1:144 Packs)(UK Exclusive);
    5 Heroes of Doctor Who Cards (1:48 Packs);
    9 TARDIS Cards (1:48 Packs);
    4 “Space For All” Portraits Cards (1:288 Packs);
    18 Allies & Adversaries Cards (1:12 Packs) (UK Exclusive).

    Very similar but the parallel cards are different colours and some of the bonus cards are UK exclusive only available in this set.

    Basically anyone who wants a full set to get all exclusives is going to be extremely lucky to get all of them and have to spend a substantial amount.

      To be honest I don’t think there will be many retailers in the UK. From an enquiry I made direct with Rittenhouse there is only one UK distributor and they only sell the cases. From my experience of collecting Trading Cards I suspect availability in the UK will be to buy from specialist Card Dealers who normally sell on eBay and then more often than not individual cards rather than sets – Autographs for Jodie, Mandip and other main stars will, I suspect, likely be expensive. Another alternative is ebay sellers in the US but of course as well the cost of the card or cards postage costs will likely be high as well.
      From my past experience of Rittenhouse their cards are printed on good quality card so would be worth getting for anyone who likes trading cards.
      I read as well a Series 1-4 is planned provisionally for next year. Of course Topps have already covered this period with their releases a few years ago so whether it will go ahead depends I suppose on how successful this set is received and sells.
