Doctor Who – Ride In 6v Dalek
Dalek Evolution comes to the Battery Powered Ride-in Market…
The most popular character from the No.1 BBC Science Fiction Show, Dr Who is here! The day of the Daleks has finally arrived with an amazing first for Welsh Toy Company Kids@Play as they launch the first ever Ride-in Dalek toy for children, distributed by Zappies Ltd. Using a unique and patented concept of an inflatable body attached to a high density plastic base, the Kids@Play innovative design team have come up with a safe, strong and exciting toy which meets all the new essential safety standards.
Our own images of the Ride In Dalek, its fairly easy to assemble and great fun, although not the most accurate of designs its aimed at 3 to 6 years old’s – It looks like a Dalek and sounds like Dalek so it really doesn’t matter in this case.
You get about an hours use before recharging is needed. The Dalek voice is powered by batteries in the steering wheel. You can deflate the Dalek for easy storage but it looks quite smart left fully assembled.
Little and Large – The Ride in Dalek meets its larger cousin…

January 13th, 2012 - 7:52pmBut there’s an actual person inside a Dalek operating it, so a life sized Dalek would be able to be seen right through, or this version is.

January 12th, 2012 - 9:32amOh man, if only there was something like this back in the 1990’s when I was a little lad [ I’m 23 as I write this ], I would have had so much fun playing with something like this, but the only kind of thing I could ever do involving playing with Daleks was having a Dapol Dalek, followed by another Dapol Dalek and then another and another, cos every now and then I’d accidently end up breaking the one I had and ended up crying until I got a replacement. Thank god the modern Dalek toys made by Character Options are alot more sturdy and don’t break

January 11th, 2012 - 2:23pmthese have done dreadful at retail with less than 500 being shipped in the uk and most of them going to clearance (prob due to them aiming for wrong target audience) if this had fitted 10-12-14 cripes even adults the words hot cakes would have been used. our store did not stock these as we could tell they would be a stinker. i picked mine up at john lewis for £40 !!!

January 11th, 2012 - 1:49pmSeeing pictures of it makes me wonder why no-one is making (or has ever made, to my knowledge) lifesize inflatable Daleks! I’m a little too old for a ride-in one but I would definitely buy a regular inflatable Dalek!
