Peter Capaldi Figure Doctor Who Regenerates / 2014

DOCTOR WHO REGENERATES FOR 2014

Christmas Day 2013 ushered in a new era for Doctor Who as over 11 million viewers tuned in to see Matt Smith’s regeneration episode, welcoming Peter Capaldi into the esteemed role of the Doctor in the process.

Doctor Who fans around the world will now be eager to know what’s in store for Character Options’ popular 3.75-inch action figure collection. Since 2006, Character Options has been the global manufacturer of the official Doctor Who action figure range and with over 8 million action figures sold; the first official figure of a new Doctor is always hotly anticipated.

The exciting new collection for March 2014 will not disappoint. There are six stylish new 3.75- inch fully articulated action figures featuring a Zygon, a brand new Clara Oswald, Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor, a Weeping Angel (screaming), an Assault Dalek, an Imperial Guard Dalek and of course the newly regenerated Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi).

The range will continue expanding in 2014, with a new series of figures planned to coincide with Series 8; Peter Capaldi’s first full series in the role.

The 8th series will make its way into collector’s hands from September. More news on the latest range will be unveiled shortly.

Oh dear, just as I was getting my hopes up for a great new Matt Smith we get that sculpt and paint again
      🙁
And the first Clara was much better…
Ah well, the rest still look great and I’ll have to try and find one of the decently painted original 11th Doctors!
And that tweed/waist coat hybrid is unnaccurate, but interesting
      🙂

Yes since when did Matt Smith wear a waist coat with tweed?

Clara looks far more accurate, as for Smith, well, that waistcoat had BETTER NOT be on the final release!

Ok, I went back and looked at the Toy Fair photos, and the waistcoat is not there, so the Doctor figure on that picture is likely to be an earlier prototype.

I think this looks great, I really like the 3.75″ figures. Please remember everyone, that these are made for children to play with. Everyone keeps going on about 5″ figures and I would like to say just wait till SDCC, underground toys must be aware that a 5″ 12th Doctor figure would be a huge seller.

A 5″ Capaldi will happen, just be patient my friends.

When complete I’m thinking it’s Day of The Doctor Clara as I remember the pattern on her dress so I’m presuming that she’ll have a jacket on and then will a bit of crafts work it’ll look like what she wore in Day of the Doctor. That’s my theory anyway, what were you thinking?

Not too sure on his facial expression. I’d have preferred a more stern face, like in Day of the Doctor.

Why is it so hard for them to make a 5″ series 7 doctor? The head sculpt, the body and the trousers. Borrow Colin Baker’s coat and we would have a Bells Of St John figure!

Why don’t people realise that 5″ was stopped because retailers weren’t buying them I’m. Just because 3.75″ isn’t what you want dosent mean that 5″ will suddenly start becoming worth it for retailers

Think how many people will buy the John Hurt figure. If they did a few series 7 figures for about £10-£15, a lot of people would get them.

To be honest, the reason that the 5 inch figures failed to sell was that they chose to make minor characters into action figures, and the poor quality control, they let themselves down but instead of getting better they used the gimmick of changing scale to try and make themselves relevant again, seriously character set themselves up to fail.

I must have imagined buying my shelf full after shelf full of classic figures. I simply think they made the wrong stuff and certainly don’t take account of what appeals to which group….

The human figures in the 3.75″ range remind me of the old 80’s star wars figures where they have just a vague resemblance of the character. I hope UT release a 5 inch 12th Doctor set so we can see what he should look like.

the original star wars figures were good these are nothing like original star wars these are terrible and are more comparable to the new star wars figures

      January 22nd, 2014 - 6:40pm

No, trust me, the original Star Wars figures were pretty rubbish….look at this http://img1.etsystatic.com/013/0/6736740/il_340x270.466284185_30vy.jpg. This is apparently Harrison Ford.

Now the newer figure are better…but still pretty rubbish like all 3.75 scale human figures, the monsters etc are ok.
