Doctor Who Official Seventh Doctor’s Umbrella

Sylvester McCoy’s Question Mark Umbrella is one of the most popular items of classic Doctor Who accessories, thankfully the Seventh Doctors umbrella has now been added to the Official Doctor Who merchandise collection.

More than just a hat stand decoration, the Seventh Doctor’s Umbrella will be a great addition to any household!

It’s made of metal, with solid fiber glass ribs, customized iconic handle with matching tip and black polyester fabric, all of which give it strength while still keeping one dry and passerby safe!

Late to the party as always, but mine arrived today and it’s a really excellent thing! It seems to be an official replica as it comes with the correct logo tags attached. There’s a nice slip case in black with red question marks, but the fabric of the umbrella itself is plain black, as it should be. There’s a quick release button which seems to function well.

But of course, the main reason you are going to buy this is the handle, which is beautifully realised. It’s made from red plastic, so it shouldn’t chip or peel. If I had a minor criticism it would be that I was hoping for a more solid feel to the handle, something with a bit more heft to it, but really I’m not grumbling. It fits nicely in my hand and will be good to use.

Strangely, almost everyone I’ve shown it to has mistaken it for a Batman prop, perhaps used by the Riddler, Joker or Penguin. Interesting.

Here’s a couple of pictures of it I’ve uploaded to Deviant Art.

Ordered mine from BBC shop. The handle seems a much darker red than it should be. For some reason the BBC one is the Abbyshot version. Is the Lovzari one the right colour?
