Doctor Who: Monster Invasion is a new fortnightly partwork comprising a magazine with collectable cards aimed at an 8-12 year old audience. It will launch across the UK in early May 2011, to coincide with the return of the BBC TV series.
You can subscribe to Monster Invasion on the official site at www.doctorwhomi.com. where you are given the option to receive additional items such as collectors tins, card holders etc.

Part one of Doctor Who: Monster Invasion will retail at a promotional price of £1.50 (normal retail price is £2.60) and will contain: a magazine featuring an episode guide; an A-Z of monsters; an alien slamdown fold-out poster; two packs of cards; and the first section of a three-part giant poster.
Parts two and three each come with one pack of cards; the first and second part of a collectable TARDIS storage box; and the remaining sections of the giant poster.

June 26th, 2011 - 2:32pmGot this at WHSmiths! It was the last one! Highlights were the exploding tardis which is at the very front! K-9 super rare 3D and exploding Daleks rare. Atraxi rare. Most of the cards were doubles which is disappointing. If they weren’t I would’ve completed my collection(without the Infinite)!

May 30th, 2011 - 11:33pmHas anyone noticed there is no 3rd Doctor, 6th or 8th – What’s going on? Aren’t there supposed to be cards of each regeneration of our favourite Time Lord (that’s what it says in the magazine anyway)? There’s a card for every other Doctor and that’s not including five 11th and three 1oth – will there be more sets to come that will include the other three regenerations?

Doctor’s will be covered in the Second Set of 180 Cards which will also cover the rest of Dr Who Season 6 – Taking the set to 345 cards (This will also be supplemented by Special Edition ‘Un-numbered’ cards {ie} Exploding Tardis) but don’t expect to see it until next year 2012 as it’s currently in preparation and would clash with the current episodes to be shown later in 2011 and also the current Monster Invasion 165 card run – So a good few months yet before release?

May 22nd, 2011 - 7:08pmNo you get an exclusive card called Exploding Tardis, it is an un-numbered card and you will only be able to get it in the tin and not in packets, You may very well get the Infinate card in the packets but the chance of that are very slim, but luck could be on your side, so who knows?

They should be getting them in now and I don’t know where you can buy it. If you do know. I have wrote a comment on this page sying ‘Where can you buy this?’ Please reply. I didn’t want to reply to myself so I sneakely managed to add it in this comment. For anyone else wondering if this comes with the infinate it doesn’t BUT you could find it in a pack. You never know.
