Doctor Who Missy Black Version 5.5″ Figure

You can keep up to date with the 5.5″ collectors series figures with our brand new interactive collectors list (work in progress)

uk-flag-small Available to order in the UK from www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk

Missy (Black Outfit) Missy (The Master) is a Time Lady and like the Doctor, she’s from the planet Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. The two were friends in their youth and both chose to ignore their people’s policy of non-intervention with other species, but unlike the Doctor, Missy chose to travel the universe causing chaos and revelling in wickedness on an epic scale.

Throughout all their encounters they usually showed a respect towards each other and on the occasions when they were forced to work as a team it was clear they made terrific allies. These two rogue Time Lords – so different but so very similar – facing the world on their terms with gusto and enormous talent.

Black outfit Missy is presented in Underground Toys collector box packaging.

Im really annoyed at the price of these figures. I paid £19.99 for this back when it was claimed to be an exclusive and a few months later its up for general sale much cheaper! Character really need to stop with the re-realses and start making figures we really want! Bring back the classic series i say!

There’s a few classic sets due to be released at B&M in July/August. The sets will be £14.99 and have the collector series packaging.

      The sets include:

A “Monsters” set with Zygon, Cyberman and Ice warrior.

A “Third Doctor” set with Master, New 3rd Doctor and a New Jo Grant.

A “10th Doctor” set with Vashta Nerada, 10th Doctor in coat, Cyberman.

A few re-releases, but the first two sets are must buys for me. I never got my hands on a zygon or ice warrior and it’s always nice to have a new variant of a doctor.

So, is this actually going to be in Forbidden Planet, or is it another online exclusive? As in Forbidden Planet Internation?

Having read the comments about CO “ripping us off” with these two releases, I’m still pleased that I bought the CO exclusives when I did for the price I did.
    – no one buying the FP ones will have the original CO packaging
    – postage was free from CO if you bought both Missy figures, making the price difference negligible from the FPI ones with postage
    – no one buying the FP purple variant will get the same figure as the CO purple release
    – those of us who bought the CO exclusives got them 8 months before the FP version

The CO version will still probably change hands for way above market pride once they sell out online. I’m a procurement officer by trade and I still think I got a good deal from CO last year..!

So besides the packaging and price is there any difference between this and the initial release. I can see the purple variant has very different colouring to the CO release (I think the orginal colours are better ) but I cant see any difference with the black variant.

Really glad I paid £19.99 from Character for this ‘Exclusive’. Feeling a bit ripped off and will wait next time CO announce another online exclusive.

I’m sure they always said it was the packaging that was online exclusive and that is something they’ve stuck to.

That is true, give over because it really is sad that all these people are moaning constantly. If you don’t like the hatted head on the bright purple one, switch it for your black one, if you don’t have a black one or want to keep the black one as it should be, them buy another one, the black one looks good in the hat anyway, in fact they missed a trick here, they should have rereleased the Black one with the hatted head and then the bright purple one with the hatless head

Yes, but what about those people who don’t want to pay for two figures in order to achieve the accurate Missy figure from series 9 which they want?

Ok what is the difference between this one and the other black one, sorry but this is just sort of ruining the uniqueness of the exclusive figures, :'(

the only difference between this one and the CO exclusive one is the packaging

      May 28th, 2016 - 10:13am

i thought the the only exclusive part was the bespoke Uk packaging

The purple one was released in UT packaging at the same time, the only reason the black one wasn’t it that UT didn’t order any at the time, which clearly they now have

so really, we are paying about 5 pound more for a different box when we get her off character, sorry but that sounds like a rip off, not sure if anyone else sees this lol

  • Doctor 909

    May 27th, 2016 - 5:17pm

Seriously, so the only rare one in the Uk is series 8 purple or the black in a special box? Wow Character way to remove limited edition figures.

but that exactly what the video said, exclusive UK packaging

    • The Living Shadow

      May 29th, 2016 - 11:07am

Yes, but the thing is, although they technically only said that the box was exclusive, they didn’t directly say that the figures would have upcoming releases without that packaging, and that the box itself is what makes the figures exclusive. I can see why people, myself included, have felt mislead, and ripped off.

      May 29th, 2016 - 11:15am

Well certainly if there is another exclusive a few people will think twice about buying it, most people wouldn’t take the risk though

I had assumed this on-line no middleman exclusive would help fund future figures that we might not have got otherwise and keep the line alive.

If these exclusive were to work then 2-3 a year should not be out of the question and that doesn’t seem to be happening
