    I still take issue with Neil Gaiman for the “Pull to open” line in The Doctor’s Wife. The instruction is for the telephone door behind the sign, not for the main door.

      On most real police boxes the main doors opened outwards. There was little room inside for the main door to go in. So gaiman was correct.
