Who else was glad to see that Moffat is a fan of Frontios and Mawdryn Undead ?

He also listed Kinda as a possibility for his favourite story. Kinda ? I’ve never watched the whole thing, is it worth getting on the CGI DVD ?

Matt Adams and I interviewed Jon about a year before his death. We only published 800 words of what is a more than 30,000 word transcript at the time and the interview in this month’s and next month’s DWM is the first time our interview with Jon has ever been published. DWM have handled our interview brilliantly and we are delighted they have given us so much space, allowing us to get at least two-thirds of our time with Jon onto the page. The second part of the interview with Jon next month is even better in my view.

Really enjoyed the first part of that interview with Jon Pertwee in issue 457 of Doctor Who Magazine. (Which also featured Steven Moffat answering my question in the same issue!) I look forward to seeing the second part. Thanks for all those years ago When you David and Matt did one of Jon Pertwee’s last few interviews.

Glad you and Matt have got your unpublished interview finally published in Doctor Who Magazine after all these years [well, half published so far at least until next issue with part 2 which I look extremely forward to reading πŸ˜€ ]

It was a enjoyable read the interview in the current issue, I never put the Magazine down once when I was reading the interview itself with Jon Pertwee. I was quite shocked about a few things thou, such as that he survived along with 15 or so others from HMS Hood

[CONTINUED] before she was destroyed with the rest of her crew by the Bismark, and how his German wife suffered so much hate during the 50’s and 60’s, including his hated of bullies such as the director of a 70’s story in which Jon said he tried to calm Roger Delgardo down cos of his fear of water, and the director was being an evil sod and shouted at Roger claiming he was wasting everyones times, until Jon gave the director a damn good telling off πŸ˜€

Thanks for publishing your interview in DWM πŸ˜‰

WOOHOO! Steven Moffat answered my question sent to DWM by e-mail a few weeks back in the latest issue Number 457!

I’m Timothy Mayo and I requested that he tells us what his favourite story is per Doctor? But he couldn’t choose any written by him.

Thanks for replying Mr Moffat. I’m sure other fans will appreciate your honest answers to my question and enjoyed reading it almost as much as I have. BRILLIANT….Made my day! πŸ™‚

Just brought my copy today in WH Smith, thou at first I thought I was not going to get it cos the had the previous issue with the 11th Doctor on it, and an employer was shifting old copies of various Magazines and stuff, and he had about 7 or 9 copies of this new issue available, so after he removed the previous issue of DWM and replaced it with the new ones I just got hold of the first copy in front of me and brought it πŸ˜€

Off now to read it, can’t wait to read this unseen Jon Pertwee interview, BEST DOCTOR EVER – PERIOD !!!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜›

The interview in this upcoming issue is a long lost one, as it says on the left hand side of the cover.

It’s when it happened. It’s never been published before, hence the phrase “long-lost”…

Fabulous cover – love it when the old doctors or assistants appear again. Wouldn’t it have been good if every doctor could feature on the cover at least once over the year, culminating in all 11 doctors for the November issue. I this out this week then?

      February 4th, 2013 - 3:30pm

Yeah, that would have been a good idea to have the first 11 issues of 2013 featuring each Doctor per month, January with the 1st Doctor all the way to November with the 11th Doctor, and maybe the final issue in December with all of them together on the cover complete with the Tardis herself.

And yes, this issue is out THIS THURSDAY !!! πŸ˜€
