I’m returning home today, after two weeks in Malta.

Brought this magazine with me, it was a great read but to be honest, I should have brought atleast ONE more magazine.

I read EVERYTHING in a DWM pretty fast. For two weeks, I should have brought one of my DWM companions. 🙂

BTW, does anyone else think this cover would have been better with Matt Smith on the LEFT HALF of the cover ? His long slick of hair is on that end, it ruins the illusion to have Matt Smith on the left half because of his hair thingy. 🙂

If you read it fast, you’re not reading it properly. It usually takes me a week read an entire issue.

Nice cover, but it does seem abit odd thou that the left side has the 9th Doctor and not the 10th’s, but don’t worry, I know it’s ment to be the 9th cos he was the first of the New Series Doctors 7 years ago.

My two favourite Modern Doctors 😀 I grew up with the relaunched series as well as Classic Who on DVD mostly Tom Baker

I prefer David Tennant to Eccleston, but that’s probably because I started with Tennant and Eccleston had only 1 series to portray his character – not long enough to embelish on it – well i think that anyway 😆

    • the TARDIS

      June 26th, 2012 - 8:12pm

I grew up with Eccleston and Tennant, but for years before had a healthy diet of repeats on UK Gold. Because of how much Classic Who I watched, I fail to see why people rave so much about Tennant (no offence, but…). He is, to me, just another Doctor.

    • Esterath

      June 26th, 2012 - 8:16pm

Same here. To me Tom Baker and matt Smith are THE Doctor.

    • Give me a Dalek any day

      June 26th, 2012 - 8:35pm

Although I started with Eccleston, Matt Smith is definitely MY Doctor. I had seen some classics during Eccleston/Tennant’s run, but when Matt Smith came along there was just something about his era that made me want to go back and watch more. Long live the Smith era! 😀

    • Esterath

      June 26th, 2012 - 8:36pm

      Long live Matt Smith!!

    • BB

      June 26th, 2012 - 8:38pm

Sorry to spoil the Matt Smith thing but I do think he should regenerate either on/shorty after the 50th Anniversary

    • Give me a Dalek any day

      June 26th, 2012 - 9:01pm

I think he should stay untill at least 2015. I’m not ready to see him regenerate just yet. 😉

    • The Time Lord of Doom

      June 27th, 2012 - 9:42am

I started with Eccleston, but Tennant is MY Doctor. I couldn’t believe it that he regenerated. I’m not saying Smith is bad. He’s awesome and a good actor, but I basically got to see more of Tennant cause Eccleston had one series and I got used to David Tennant. His era was the best!!!! Although the best series is series 6.

It’s mad (in a good way) that there are now fans that have “grown up” with DW just from the 2005 relaunch.

I Know. I can actually still remember sitting down to watch ‘Rose’ back in 2005 and since then. Doctor Who has become a big part of (not just my life) but me as well.

    • the TARDIS

      June 26th, 2012 - 5:24pm

I agree. It’s really good that DW has got an ever-growing fan base, but I don’t think anyone can be classed as a “proper” Who fan if they only watch “new who”. People who only like the new series, whilst still fans, are new who fans, not fans of Doctor Who in general. It’s the same for people who think New-Who isn’t as good as old-who and don’t watch it.

    • BB

      June 26th, 2012 - 7:32pm

I actually started watching DW with Smith and Jones, but after the first couple of eps, I bought my first DVD, and that was Series 1 Vol 1, which contains Rose, and I do think it’s a really good debut and an excellent relaunch

  • the TARDIS

No, the bit in the TARDIS where the monitor is turned on and a voice tells the Doctor:”This next bit is going to hurt!” It’s not resolved in ‘The Cornucopia Caper Part 1’!

    • BB

      June 26th, 2012 - 8:21pm

thats because it’s either going to be revealed in the cornucopia caper in a future part, or in a future story
