Doctor Who Licensed Tardis Case PC

Three models are now available to pre-order from www.scan.co.uk

Tardis T1 Mini PC

Tardis T2 Mini PC

Tardis T3 Mini PC
Doctor Who Tardis T3 Mini PC Intel Core i5 2400S 8GB RAM 1TB HDD 1MB ATI 6670 Graphics DVD-RW W7HP 64Bit

This computer has been displayed for a while now but the company now have a BBC licence to sell in the US and UK

There are various specifications and the DVD/Blu-ray player is behind one of the Tardis signs. For obvious reasons the doors dont open!

The following highlighted information
has been posted by its creator on Gallifrey Base

It took 18 months with the help of the BBC creating the all aluminium case. Its all made in the UK. The attention to detail like the pewter moulded handles being odd sizes and silver through to the windows, police signs and roof beacon lighting up are all in line with the BBC’s Dr Who team.

Scan Computers International in Bolton are the only distributor ( we cant see any information of their site at present )

The case is 205mm x 205mm and stands 430mm to the roof beacon. It is smaller than normal PC’s. It weights 7.9 kg’s which is also lighter than a standard PC.

I would be interested in the case only… but I’m not going to take a downgrade to my PC’s power (nor do I care to pay for parts I don’t want) just to get one.

It sounds like it was very expensive to make, hope you like it though, it’s the best PC container in the world because it’s a Dr Who one ! And, pretty high quality.

Its great to see so many people interested in the case I designed.

I can only tell you basic information regarding the size, weight colours and how it was constructed.

This case is for sale – although Scans website hasnt yet got a webpage up – that’ll be shorted shortly I am told.

The person at Scan overseeing the TARDIS computers is Mr P Balshaw – he can be contacted via email [email protected]

I dont think its as expensive as you think – and it will be ready to run out of the box (win7 64bit).

Mels, I can really appreciate the difficulties you must have in Australia, because even in England, no one shop sells all merchandise, and you really have to shop around.

Three years ago or so, you also had to go into various supermarkets and clothes shops to get shops-own-brand merchandise. I used to trawl about 30 shops every week, and still missed stuff. Post-Tennant it has dropped right off now.

I do like Australian Doctor Who merchandise. Very difficult to get in the UK, but I have got two inflatables, one DVD and one VHS.

That is a good question. I think I would be interested in the case only to store away. I have not got space for desktop PCs and separate screens anymore, and only use laptops.

Great that it is made in the UK with 3 million unemployed here and growing. I wish more merchandise was made in the UK.

    • booboo

      March 4th, 2012 - 11:59am

they have mentioned a case only but i might be interested in the whole thing depending on costs and the specs, i would actually love one of these

    • CatManWho

      March 4th, 2012 - 1:54pm

Well, they have come down a lot over the years. The last two towers I got were in 1993 and 1999 and they were a grand then for the most basic model. These days the most basic (without screen) seems to be a fifth of that. I agree, if the cost and spec was right, it then might be worth getting a screen for. I have not ruled it out yet.

Aside from DVDs and CDs, I do not “use” any merchandise, but this is worth considering for use to justify the cost.

Wow cant wait for the details i might just have to get one of these
