Doctor Who Kinda Fifth Doctor Audio CD
Available to order from www.amazon.co.uk
Janet Fielding reads this novelisation of an intriguing adventure for the Fifth Doctor and friends.
On the serene planet Deva Loka, an expeditionary force from Earth is dangerously out of control. It’s not only the peaceful race of the Kinda who are at risk.
A gentle stroll in the lush jungle leads the Doctor and Adric to an unexpected confrontation – and puts them at the mercy of a maniac.
But it is Tegan, lulled to sleep by mysterious wind-chimes, who comes closest to a danger than threatens not only her sanity but the existence of the whole planet.
Janet Fielding, who plays Tegan in the BBC TV series, reads Terrance Dicks’s novelisation of the television adventure by Christopher Bailey.

January 18th, 2024 - 8:01amVery nice cover. Janet is my favourite companion and I’ve been saving Warriors of the Deep for a rainy day, so it’s nice to know she’ll be reading another. I’m hoping she gets Snakedance and Dark Contract as well!

November 20th, 2025 - 6:55pmI’ve only just got it together to buy a copy and it’s on the way to me. No idea why it took so long as I’d been looking forward to its release for a long time. Having Janet narrating is perfect. What are people’s thoughts about this audiobook ?
I noticed that Snakedance ISNT read by Janet ! Mr Beevers takes the chair. Shame they couldn’t have got JF to read Snakedance during the Kinda sessions. Lot of reading though.
And I’m so glad Janet made her peace with the show and found her way back to fandom. The Blu Ray features, the appearance in Jodie’s last story. I know Tegan is a marmite character but I can’t help but love Janet. Underneath all that bluster is a kind, sensitive woman. It’s great that she’s come home.

January 17th, 2024 - 11:10pmYep – I find the readers have been a bit of a mixed bag lately, obviously a decision was made to emply more “professional” readers rather than someone who has a link to the story. I get the reasoning but you do loss something when its not a person from the Doctor Who family.
