Ordered this when on sale for £10 and using a 20% off code DOCTOR on BBC Shop but cancelled when I realised it came in a plastic bag not packaging. Kind of ruins it being a limited edition figure if you can’t keep it sealed in original packaging. Don’t really like the figure just wanted it since It was so cheap and limited.

Just ordered mine. Looks like the BBC are fans of Hologram figures. I really want a Hologram 11th Doctor. Or a Hologram Dalek or Cyberman! Hologram Cyberman would be ghost Cyberman though.

Yeah – in canon with the series would be a Ninth Doctor (from Parting of the Ways) and a Cyberman from Army of Ghosts. A transparent Cyberman was sold on ebay a while back, but I’m guessing it was just a prototype.

Is it any wonder people are disillusioned with this range when they can,t even forward any dates. they draw you in and then nothings ever heard of.I don,t think its taken off in the way they expected. Long live the 5 inch classics. Better be something worth while next year.

Mine arrived yesterday and I finally got round to opening it today. I love it. It’s not just transparent, the jacket and head have a ‘spangly’ effect that makes the whole figure look appropriately Christmassy by happy coincidence. In fact it’s being incorporated into our decorations somehow this year.

I imagine this is how the Ice Governess figure might/will look if CO ever get round to doing that Snowmen set that was rumoured a while back. Hint hint…

This is quite a bad cop-out excuse for a convention exclusive – not just any convention, either, but the 50th anniversary convention. They could have made some more effort and given us a figure like, oh I don’t know, the War Doctor? Sighhhh.

      November 28th, 2013 - 1:58pm

From the classic era – Sylvester McCoy’s Doctor.
How about a transparent(mostly) transporting/materialising Dalek – showing a Dalek creature inside a seethrough shell as it’s slowly arriving via teleport beam.

lot’s of uses for transparent plastic – doesn’t all have to be from the current series.

As it’s specifically referred to as a ‘Holographic Doctor’, that would suggest it’s from Blink, rather than Doomsday, which was more of a ‘projection’ of the Doctor himself.

I don’t care really, it’s a NEW 5″ VARIANT!! Possibly the last we’ll get from NuHu now.

      November 27th, 2013 - 2:52pm

But he’s not blue in the episode, just a clear hologram
