I’m happy too, I’m being sent a replacement Davros after mine broke in the post. They have also said they have received several complaints about the packaging, and are considering changing it.

      September 18th, 2013 - 7:02pm

If you phone up they are really helpful, and yes I was set up from issue 6 originally with 1-5 on order (because i asked for them again when heard this was going national) despite welcome letter saying issue 2 as start issue. In end set up a new subscription via telephone when inquiring about start issue, and got all details through the post starting from issue 1.

However a nice big box with blue ribbon arrived this morning with just a binder that was broken (no sliders just the rows of pegs sticking out) waiting to be taken out.

    • cjayp33

      September 18th, 2013 - 7:04pm

so have inquired via FB why I have only got a binder which may be damaged and nothing else as I thought all my problems were sorted.

It does show how incompetent they are as it looks like test subscribers subscriptions start from issue 6 and not 1/2 as in welcome letters as they assumed we want to carry on where we left off. However they have failed to realize that we test subscribers only got 1-3 as they never sent 4-5 so really subscriptions should start from issue 4.

I know this would be harder to actually purchase the figurines, but I would have prefered if these were released every week. It would make it much easier and known that some of those figurines aren’t until until 2014 summer the latest, it makes you think how long that will take!

they need to make it affordable though, dont forget it will be costing them a bit in postal costs as well

i know what you mean though, when they have shown you the stuff you want it now

    • TheExtremeBlueTARDIS

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:30pm

Yeah, it is difficult thinking you would love a figurine, but it doesn’t come out until next year. What I am wondering is how the Third Doctor is being released a bit earlier, since he is one of the most popular Classic Doctors ever.

    • booboo

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:34pm

this is the problem though, everyone wants “their” or favourite Doctor 1st, you really have to look at this collection as a whole and take what’s coming in the order they decide – fans may be able to sway what’s included but not necessarily the order because some of that may be outs side of their control and they wile never ever keep everyone happy

    • TheExtremeBlueTARDIS

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:36pm

I guess so. I do think the line-up is cool though and will be definetaly getting the ones that I like the most. It’s a shame they aren’t releasing any companions.

    • booboo

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:41pm

never say never say never but we are back to the same problem, who do you release?

i could easily do a poll, in fact i could probably give them top 10 right now from a poll with 1000’s votes in it but you will still wont keep everyone happy

    • Dalek Comand

      September 17th, 2013 - 5:23pm

To give you an idea of time the James Bond car collection went from 40 to around 130 cars. The collection continued for 5

From the back it looks like an ood (the hair) however from the ones that are facing us it looks like a woman wearing a white dress

    • Trenzalore

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:13pm

      I thought an unfinished omega

    • Ben

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:17pm

@ Trenzalore I did at first but if you look really closely it looks like a woman

    • Anonymous

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:19pm

No, you can see the translator orbs and the red face tentacles.

    • Ben

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:21pm

You are looking at the back of the figurine the back is blue and the front is white

    • Trenzalore

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:24pm

Oh right, If you look closely you can see it is wearing a black and white top.

    • Anonymous

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:40pm

It might not be painted yet, we all know the line-up for the first 23 figures and there aren’t any women with black and white striped tops.

You can see the orbs and tendrils so it must be a partially painted Ood.

    • Ben

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:45pm

It is a woman in a white dress with a blue cloak on. She looks like Abigail from a Christmas carol

    • booboo

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:50pm

i have asked them to clear it up, bound to be an Ood though as its on the production line and its in the 1st 20

    • Anonymous

      September 17th, 2013 - 5:04pm

Again it is not a woman in a white dress. There are absolutely no figures even close to that in the line-up.

    • Ben

      September 17th, 2013 - 5:45pm

Well then we will just have to check

    • Anonymous

      September 17th, 2013 - 6:33pm

Done a zoom in, it looks more like Omega than an Ood in fairness, but it certainly isn’t a woman although I can see where you are coming from.

    • Doctor 909

      September 17th, 2013 - 7:16pm

I think it looks like a partly painted Omega but then it does look like there is hair. I really hope it is not Abigail because they aren’t (by the looks of it) doing companions and it would be weird to do her and not a companion.

    • DOCTORWHOSBIGGESTFAN

      September 17th, 2013 - 8:26pm

      It’s obviously a natural ood

    • Ben

Nope we don’t know exactly what it is

    • Anonymous

      September 17th, 2013 - 11:15pm

Indeed, but I can guarantee it isn’t a woman with a white dress.

    • Anonymous

It’s Omega, it certainly isn’t a Sea Devil (it isn’t even on the schedule yet).

    • luke kelly

      October 7th, 2013 - 8:25pm

there is a sea devil coming soon they said on the q+a page on here! but it probaly won’t b the sea devils in that pic if they r not due for a long time

    Reply
    • booboo

companions apparently not, i would consider the brigadier a key character in its 50 year history though so i hope we see him

    • Anonymous

      September 17th, 2013 - 3:55pm

They might do companions at some point, but not for quite a while. Unless they are in special issues it won’t be until after issue 80.

Only Madame Vastra is an exception to this.

I reckon they should alternate between issues, you know – New Series Figure, Classic Figure, New Series Figure, Classic Figure – and so on 🙂

    • Anonymous

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:14pm

But there are a lot more classic stories than stories post-revival (over 150 classics but not even 100 since the revival) alternating between the two will still leave behind a lot of the characters.

      September 17th, 2013 - 4:24pm

regular release of doctor who figures from new and classic ..cheaper than the stuff from character options or underground toys or whoevers intermittlently churning em out these days…for my part there aren’t any classic aliens I wouldnt want to collect….. cant say the same for the new series.

I think this is the only way we’re ever going to get to see the classic aliens all classic fans want to see and which nobody is bothering with….

  • HornsOfAzal

    September 17th, 2013 - 2:56pm

Heres a suggestion for eaglemoss…release 2 series of mags…one with the CLASSIC stuff one with the NEW SERIES stuff…..with the benefits of the subscription regardless of which series you choose.

I think its the only way you’re going to satisfy fans. I know Id buy all classic series aliens and select the ones I consider to be best from the new series…admittedly not many….
