What I want to know is are we going to get our pre-orders we’ve ordered or are we getting our money back as i’ve had to order mine through my wife and I don’t trust my wife with money so I don’t know if she’s had my money back

you won’t get either from the administrators.

On the money front – go to your bank /card company and open a chargeback – tell them you pre ordered and paid but that Eaglemoss kept changing the release date but never indicated anything was wrong. Then, and this is important, tell them they shut down their website and cut off all lines of communication without any warning so you had no way on contacting them and they have now gone into administration. If they will not refund your money go to the ombudsman. Most good banks will be completely aware of the Eaglemoss situation by now and would have had many claims already.

Stopped collecting these at issue 95 I believe kind of disappointed with the human figures they have always been off so doesn’t seem smart for me to spend all that money on them it’s great they are doing pretty much every character but it’s became a bit silly with all the releases and the price I remember when they where £6.99 or £7.99 that seemed like a good price but each issue is like £12 now isn’t it? Perhaps if they paint apps where good I wouldn’t mind but hey Ho I would love to see a three doctors set or web of fear set

Got my order in. Its free delivery on orders over £50, so a tip if you’re just ordering this set by itself…as this set is basically £45, buy one of their pin badges too which will get you up to £50. At least that way you are getting something extra for that fiver that would only have gone on delivery costs.
I bought the 9th Dr pin badge

The problem with doing that is that Eaglemoss will send you the pin badge on its own in a massive box which is otherwise empty.

I still hadn’t ordered the 9th/10th Doctor console so preordered both together.

Now this looks brilliant! Excellent, at last: story style sets. A Shada (Krarg, Romana and Skagra with globe) boxset and a Colony in Space (alien priest and primitive with IMC robot) boxset definitely wanted please. What about Planet of the Spiders with spider on Sarah’s back, Dr with crystal and Cho-je? Excited about what future sets there will be.

A nice choice for the start of an exciting new range. This particular one isn’t for me though, but gives me hope for a Kinda or Snakedance set so we can get a Mara figure.

Yes please but if its another 3 figure set who do you leave out if they include martha in maids outfit or10th as edwardian teacher complete with mortaboard. I would prefer just full family.

    • Auton

      March 18th, 2022 - 7:28am

It could be the four family of blood as they are relatively simple figures compared to this pack with the Fendahl

    • Judooning

      March 18th, 2022 - 9:36am

I would imagine these new story sets don’t necessarily have to follow a pattern in terms of how many figures are included.
If it warrants 4-5-6 figures then that’s what they’ll probably do, and the price for each set will just vary based on the contents.

Some ideas off the top of my head:

      Waters of Mars set:
      – Tenth Doctor in Orange Spacesuit
      – Captain Adekade Brooks
      – Flood Zombie Male
      – Flood Zombie Female

      The Runaway Bride Set:
      – Empress of the Racnoss (Special size)
      – Donna in Wedding Dress
      – Hooded Pilot Fish

A Good Man Goes to War set:
      – Dorium Maldavore
      – Headless Monk
      – Madame Vastra
      – Commander Strax
      – Riversong

      Night Terrors set:
      – Peg Doll (Blonde Hair)
      – Peg Doll Amy
      – Peg Doll Soldier

The Doctor, The Widow & The Wardrobe set:
      – Wooden King
      – Wooden Queen

      The Wedding of Riversong set:
      – Eleventh Doctor in Creen Coat/Stetson
      – Gantok (With skulls on base)
      – Silent (Standard pose/Closed Mouth)

Some great choices there but just wondering about costs for 4 figures + given this is 2 and a special. Its about keeping costs right for people to beable to afford them. With rising prices, im wondering if they could still put out 4 standard figures for the same price as this.

    • Judooning

      March 18th, 2022 - 11:10am

Yeah I suppose its down to how much people desire the set too.
Personally, I’d be willing to spend say £50 on a Good man Goes to War set. But wouldn’t spend the same money on the same amount of contents for another story based set. (Although the completeist in me would win lol)
Aslong as they get the content right, hopefully the sales will be there. But you cant please everyone as we know.

    • the Ergon

      March 18th, 2022 - 12:15pm

It really doesn,t apply that much to me at present Judooning but not everyones finances are the same. I,d go as far as to push for a full alien delegates dalek masterplan set and pay the price but could be down to interest and how many preorders they could get in to make this happen.
P.s- I would like those variant packs to materialise for those 3 pegdolls alone you mentioned.

Image of the Fendahl is one of my favourite stories. I’d definitely have picked this up had i not bought the 5″ Character Options set of Leela and the Fendahleen when it came out.

Are these likely to be in any physical stores such as HMV or Forbidden Planet? At £45 i’d like to have a look at one before buying.

I hope this is the way forward now and finishing the run of figurines and concentrate on these sort of box sets, which is an excellent way to bring out extra figures. Keep the specials going and the megas and consoles etc. Then everybody would know where they stand

Well ive been saying for ages storysets are the way forward to get more classic and nu-who out there. Double or triple variants would work as well.
Of this set however i hate to be critical but they still cant always get those human faces to look like the character even though im sure they strive to do so. The fendaleen also looks a strange shape. Ill still buy this if just to fill those classic gaps, of which there are still many and the QC might be a roll of the dice but i support the collection for the most part

Brilliant! I’ve been hoping for ‘story sets’ sets or something similar for ages. Great way to get more characters and monsters done. As you say Booboo, I wonder if this is in addition to or instead of the extension?

Love to see a ‘Shada’ set with Skagra, Chronotis or Romana and of course a Krarg!

I’m a bit surprised the Fendahleen wasn’t a special (and if it will be larger figurine in this set) but really happy to get the ‘Core’ as a figurine too and nice Leela variant.

Possibilities in this range are many and they could also re-package re-releases this way. A ‘Day of the Daleks’ or ‘Remembrance’ set springs to mind!

I,m Sorry Doug but in this case it looks more like another imposter cosplaying Leela. Maybe the essence of Louise Jameson but once again the face is way off the mark as much as it hurts me to say it.

    • The Werewolf

      March 17th, 2022 - 9:03pm

The Fendahleen weighs more than the other 2 figurines combined, so I’m guessing it is a least a little bigger than them.

    • Doug Who

      March 17th, 2022 - 9:20pm

Although some of the likenesses are maybe not completely spot on, I think at this scale it’s difficult. If you see the original models unpainted there’s a much better likeness on many. It tends to be the paint finishes that don’t help. The sculpts are fine but the paint ‘flattens’ the face, especially around the eyes.

There was an online video of a guy who did an incredible job adding shade and tone to the Thirteenth Doctor figurine, and the difference was honestly amazing. Too much to expect such detail on a mass produced figure, You can get a liquid tone wash that goes into the creases on the face and adds a lot of shade, which really makes a huge difference if done well.

I’m really looking forward to this set. Love ‘Image of the Fendahl’. One of the best horror/SF ‘mash-ups’ the show has ever done I think. Fantastic cast too and adore Leela with Ma Taylor!

TARDIS sets, Doctor and companion sets, TARDIS console sets, timelord sets etc. etc. why do they start off all these ranges and then abandon them halfway through to start another range. I bet there will be one or two of these released and then they’ll go absolutely stagnant for about half a year

UGH, Eaglemoss put out too much stuff. Companion sets, TARDIS consoles, TARDIS boxes, and now this stuff. Just can’t afford everything, hard enough to keep up with the Star Trek ships. Especially with the current cost of living. A Fendahleen isn’t going to put petrol in the car or oil in the tank for heating. :-/

Are they not “putting out” what people have been asking for from day one, its seems that way to me – but they can hardly be blamed for whats going on in the world. They are a business that also needs to survive.

Like the idea of these but I also feel that this may be a replacement for the standard collection. Also thinking that these also act as gift sets for the like of HMV etc. so tick both boxes. It would be good to know where we actually stand with the standard collection however.

Neither will Star Trek ships! No one is forcing you to buy these things, we all have priorities, makes more sense to comment here on the quality of the product and the idea of story specific sets. I think it’s a good idea but from that image (of the Fendahl!) they don’t look too good.

Bruh collect one hobby at a time I’m not even interested into Star Trek but I want to collect the doctor who co action figures but I want to complete the figurine collection first I get it’s the cost of living that means side things such as hobby’s for yourself and even buying things for family for birthdays and xmas if you even have complaints maybe just do a bunch of protesting to get the cost of living to go down I’d happily support..

This old chestnut. These are collectables, for fans to collect if they can afford, have the space (and a forgiving partner who has a VAST collection of shoes). I’m not collecting sixteen12 models, not because I don’t want to but because of cost and space – but they’re still lovely. I am only be collecting things if I can afford to collect – moaning about having **too much** choice is just moaning for the sake of it. 😉

    • March 18th, 2022 - 6:08pm

Just don’t buy it roald. Problem solved. There are many fans who have to have everything but there are many others who either don’t have the money, space or inclination to buy everything.
