As far as we know, 200 at the moment but it could be extended again (I hope)

Ben Robinson tweeted that the collection has been extended to AT LEAST 200 issues which heavily implies that there will be further extensions potentially. However both Ben and Neil have said that this relies on how well the collection is selling (numbers of subscribers, newsagent’s/shops sales and webshop sales) and that numbers have understandably started dwindling in the later stages of the collection.

I think, if I was running the collection, I’d end it at 200, wait until the 60th anniversary year in 2023 and restart the collection but title it “Eaglemoss presents the Doctor Who Figurine Collection: Regeneration.” Gives plenty of time to work on some of the trickier figurines that couldn’t make this collection and also to track down likeness rights and estate rights for certain characters. Plus there’ll be either another couple of series for Jodie or even potentially a 14th Doctor by that point.

Pleasantly surprised to recieve my Nimon and Renegade Dalek today, maybe the last for a while so I’ll make the most of it. Great figurines, only curious about the Renegade’s lack of pupil – was there one in the episode like that?

It was set in a school so perhaps it should have a pupil !

Why Terry Molloy again should’ve been Gooderson from Destiny of the Daleks

Because Gooderson wore the exact same mask as the Genesis Davros we’ve already had?

    • Gareth Pugh

      April 12th, 2020 - 7:28pm

Yep, Neil tweeted in answer to someone some time back that a Gooderson ‘Destiny’ Davros was unlikely because the differences between that and the Wisher ‘Genesis’ version were slight, whereas to be fair there’s a big difference between how Molloy’s Davros appeared in Resurrection and Remembrance. Saying that, CO did make separate action figures of Wisher and Gooderson (main differences being a couple of panels on the controls of the chair, and the wires on his head are different colours; but, yeah, it’s really the same mask).

Another variation of a figure we’ve had before, like many of the last few editions (weeping angel, Vok robot, judoon, cyberman, Tim Shaw etc). There must be a load of originals still waiting to be represented before we have slight variations.

Hi Neil well I’d personally love to see The Mara it’s near the top of my most wanted specials if not my 1st choice! Still got my fingers crossed for Tegan and Peri companion sets too.. by the way love this figurine Terry Molly is my personal favourite version of Davros.

Neil. Can you please do the gold dalek Shuttlecraft from Remembrance as a Special edition.

Maybe with small daleks again in scale with the Battle Pod.

      Pretty Please.

    • Basil Funkenstein

      March 30th, 2020 - 11:40pm

A Twelfth Doctor in Davros’s chair from that episode would be a phenomenally cool figurine, as would a figurine of Clara inside the open Dalek towards the end of that story as well if that is at all doable. I would really love to see Eaglemoss attempt some figurines like that, I reckon in keeping with the quality of the collection you guys could pull those figures off spectacularly. Having said that a special of Davros in the podium sounds like a cosmic idea but might be worth considering as a potential for a later date. I wouldn’t be annoyed if we didn’t see those figures in the collection when it ends but at the same time I’d be thrilled if they were released. I’ve noticed that there is a fair bit of request for these figurines amongst the fandom on different forums.

Another beauty, I hope we can get gravis the tractator or a garm or ergon, just as a kind of “something a bit different” for the fifth doctor apart as the terileptil, omega and silurian, most of the 5th doctor figurines are daleks, cybermen or favors who aren’t specific to the 5th doctor era (ik omega and silurian are from the 3rd doctor era but their designs are different). But so excited for this one nonetheless.
