October 22nd, 2024 - 4:46pmHas anyone had a go at buying and painting these ? I’d love to see some pics of the finished items. Apart from Harrops looks as if we have to look to ingenious e-bayers with 3d printers to get ‘classic’ items these days.

October 22nd, 2024 - 7:47pmIf you buy the fanzine it shows the incredible talents of some of these painters.
They are very insightful. As well as the main feature there are other customs and contributions created by members of the figurine collection group etc as well as the professional printers and sneak previews of future issues.
You can buy Arcturus from Digitaltaxidermy if you so feel like having a go yourself, off ebay in various scales as well as other models.
I completed mine some time ago and sits proudly amongst my other third doctor eaglemoss figurines.

October 23rd, 2024 - 4:28pmIssue 6 is going to be the L1 Robot from The Mysterious Planet and there are three versions painted. Yep, the people who do the paintwork are very skilled, but the fanzine has started a “how-to” section (going over three issues – there’s a lot to say!) for newbies and I’ve got to say, it’s really good stuff for anyone wanting to start out in the world of painting their own figurines. I mean, the stuff is so good I started a fanzine for them…

July 29th, 2024 - 3:27pmIt will be interesting to see if the creators at Digital taxi address the issue that all there 3d prints are free to download from Troys site and thingiverse

July 30th, 2024 - 5:21pm3D printing is an alien world to me most of what i see looks awful if i’m honest with lines all across it.
Totters yard stuff and Bessie looks decent to me so i assume printed on equipment most of us couldn’t afford.

July 30th, 2024 - 5:25pmThey are good but dont always get it right as in the case of the chumbly and the Ogri but there are few 3D printing companies that do their figurines at 1:21 eaglemoss scale aside from Totters Yard customs.
I would love to see someone come up with ideas that arent on Troy woods site and can do characters tailor made at this scale per customer including companions. There are plenty of character size but again its down to painting and not everyone has the skill. Most people now are banking on MR and what they have lined up.Its just a shame its not a company like Fanhome who cater per franchise.

August 23rd, 2024 - 4:29pmDigital Taxidermy showcasing their next release and yet again it is available for free from the thingyverse and 3d doctor who printing website. Troy should charge commision lol

July 26th, 2024 - 4:21pmDidn’t know whether to mention this or not but I see it’s been put up on the site so it’s ok. Neil Emailed me yesterday to say issue 3 was complete and to send money for the Mag if I wanted another Copy. Still 4 pound including p&p which I think Is Superb Value. Looking forward to the TV 21 Dalek Emperor next from Totters Yard.

July 25th, 2024 - 7:58pmThose 3d items on ebay look excellent, alas I don’t think my painting skils would do them justice. I’d especially like a chumbley they’ve got up for sale.

July 26th, 2024 - 4:35pmHello, I’m not sure about Digital Taxidermy, but I know Totters Yard Customs pre-paint some of his 3D Prints. Granted they are more Expensive, but probably worth it if your painting skills aren’t very good.

July 30th, 2024 - 5:00pmThanks for that Snowman a few of these digital priting guys are coming up with some amazing stuff on ebay some of it finished not just Who either. July 25th, 2024 - 6:46pmloving these customs, especially Bessie
Snowman
July 26th, 2024 - 4:24pmYes Bessie from Digital taxidermy was superb, another instant purchase from me. Taxidermy and Totters Yard Customs are so good and now Eaglemoss as folded these models just seem like the Natural Evolution of the Figurine Collection.
