October 9th, 2024 - 11:44amWell, I don’t think I’ll be paying that for them, I can Wait. I suppose someone will buy them, then it encourages this behaviour even more unfortunately.
booboo
October 9th, 2024 - 11:46amno one should buy them, its just curios someone already has them to sell on at vast profit
Jamie
October 9th, 2024 - 11:46amWow! Looks like someone got an early sample and decided to be greedy. Or gifted it to someone who decided to be greedy.
Snowman
October 9th, 2024 - 11:56amDon’t know how true it is but doesn’t the Youtube/TicToc Reviewers get Samples early?

October 9th, 2024 - 12:39pmI reckon that’s just a preorder they will ship when they have the set the fact someone added to their cart is the thing you should be questioning
booboo
October 9th, 2024 - 12:41pmthey are in hand photos though, not offcila ones and listing states available now, who ever this is clearly has them.
Moonbeam
October 9th, 2024 - 2:12pmSeriously though, who would pay that? There out next week?
Nath
October 9th, 2024 - 2:44pmSurely there should be a rule in place about this then Ivr always hated the fact people get them for free with no subscribers or anything they should stop handing them out to people
booboo
October 9th, 2024 - 2:46pmthat’s something you should take up with CO, they decide now who gets them “for free”

October 9th, 2024 - 8:54pmIt says on the original guys eBay one sold! Bargain as there reduced to only 120……a week tomorrow.
Vladnag
October 9th, 2024 - 8:52amThese look absolutely amazing! Even if i wasn’t the biggest fan of the new series having a new TARDIS team for the shelf is always amazing, and these look like they’re going to steal the spotlight
Excited to see the return to single release figures, and the price point of £20 is great for so many accessories and 0 reuse, I was collecting the Judge Dredd figures for a while and they where more than £20 for a 1/18 scale figure!
This and the new Emperor Davros release have got me really excited for potential single release figures, if we got an Ainley Master i’d be blown away, and if there’s any chance the Wrarth Warrior seen at ToyFair could be included in a wave i’d be so happy.

October 9th, 2024 - 3:07amFinally! The release we’ve all been waiting for! New season Doctor Who figures are here! They look absolutely amazingly awesome and will be definitely buying both of them! Hopefully The Doctor and Ruby will be the first of many more to come!

October 8th, 2024 - 11:08pmWhich story is the retail version based on?
Charlie
October 9th, 2024 - 1:06amRetail 15 is based on ‘Space Babies’ and Retail Ruby is based on ‘Dot and Bubble’ I believe! 🙂
Youngj
October 9th, 2024 - 1:24pmSpace babies and dot and bubble
Jamie
October 8th, 2024 - 10:38pmAfter waiting so long to see these I can say I am very happy with them and I bet they will look even better in hand. Two all new figures!! Thank you CO! Roll on the 27th and getting these in hand
The upgraded articulation looks very nice. And the landmine accessory is a nice unexcepted surprise!
Snowman
October 9th, 2024 - 11:01amI think it’s the 17th.
Jamie
October 9th, 2024 - 11:48amTypo!
Roll on the 17th!
Badwolfy
October 8th, 2024 - 8:08pm“Vortex Edition”? What does that mean?
Youngj
October 8th, 2024 - 8:21pmonline exclusive vision
Badwolfy
October 8th, 2024 - 11:52pmThanks but I am still in the dark here.
Charlie
October 9th, 2024 - 1:05amThe ‘Vortex Range’ is comparable to the ‘Black Series’ Star Wars action figure range. Highly detailed figures with accessories in a presentation box – mainly aimed at collectors.
Vladnag
October 9th, 2024 - 8:39amTo add on to what Charlie said: Al Dewar mentioned on a podcast his idea for the “Vortex Range”, a rerelease of all the Doctors with improved paint apps, articulation and accessories. It’s exciting to see this idea come alive!
Radburn
October 9th, 2024 - 8:26pmThe ‘Vortex’ Range is confirmed. If you look on the back of both the 15th. & Ruby Figures it has a panel on them stating ‘the new Vortex range’
Badwolfy
October 15th, 2024 - 2:48amThank you for the info. So what you’re saying is it’s just the name of the range and not a reference to anything in the show.
FH
October 8th, 2024 - 7:59pmJust noticed that it looks like for the final figure they’re saving costs by casting the trouesrs in a light blue plastic, as opposed to the prototype version that was seen at the Toyfair where they painted them.
15th Doctor
October 8th, 2024 - 8:12pmIt’s a massive shame Character haven’t rereleased the 13th Doctor Tardis as it covers 3 doctors in all so far including the 15th it’s mega bucks now 🙁
Matt
October 8th, 2024 - 8:34pm15th Doctor maybe they could also have the decency of putting a picture of the interior in next time too
Vladnag
October 9th, 2024 - 8:46amUsually prototype figures are entirely painted by hand, as they’re made from 3D prints or early factory samples just to show what the final figure could look like! Not the best idea to compare a professionally hand painted prototype figure to a mass retail figure as you’ll always be disappointed.
Coloured plastic is a way better choice for arms/legs anyway, my Face of Evil Leela figure has paint chipping off their shoulder where the joints are and it looks awful!
Golden Pineapple
October 8th, 2024 - 7:44pmWhere oh WHERE is our Susan Twist as Hiker figure?! It’s a disgrace that we get these first!
Dr. Who died today!

October 9th, 2024 - 2:36amFinally! The release we’ve all been waiting for! New season Doctor Who figures are here! They look absolutely amazingly awesome and will be definitely buying both of them! Hopefully The Doctor and Ruby will be the first of many more to come!
toptimelord
October 9th, 2024 - 3:05am(Sorry, wrong reply.) I bet a whole set of variant Susan Twist figures are coming part of a Sutekh build-a-figure wave. As silly as that sounds, I probably would still buy them.
demdike@Cult Labs
October 8th, 2024 - 6:58pmDoes ‘mass retail’ mean what it sounds to be saying that you’ll be able to buy these in shops.
Or is it just Forbidden Planet?
booboo
October 8th, 2024 - 7:06pmno any retailers who order them
Doctor Stu
October 8th, 2024 - 6:46pmIf they’d bothered to try and make the show accessible to the entire audience we might have gotten a new retail boom like 2005. But RT failed to bring the fans back and so I can just see these warming legs for the next year
Dr cyberman
October 8th, 2024 - 6:50pmWould love to have the bad boys warming my legs
The DR.
October 8th, 2024 - 6:52pmThere Online Exclusives only. They won’t go near any Pegs unfortunately.
Jamie
October 8th, 2024 - 10:36pmI think how accessible the show is to general audiences is something the fans worry about too much. Its not like 2005 where mainstream sci-fi was pretty much dead in the UK, these days people are constantly watching stuff like Marvel and Star Wars. Doctor Who wont give them much trouble. And to be quite honest I don’t think there is anything RTD could have done to return to the popularity of 2005.
These figures look amazing and I cant wait to get them. Hopefully they do well enough for the Vortex range to continue.
Timelord63
October 8th, 2024 - 6:05pmShame you can’t but these separately as not interested in the Ruby figure?
Snowman
October 8th, 2024 - 6:14pmAhhh, Poor Ruby. Lovely Figure and I thought the Character was Decent aswell.
Erato
October 8th, 2024 - 7:37pmSell it then!
Etm
October 9th, 2024 - 9:35amI have no interest in a Ruby figure as well but I’ve got to admit it’s really good looking figure, very impressive.
Doctorbendisco
October 8th, 2024 - 5:54pmDefinitely getting this can’t wait
Jamie
October 8th, 2024 - 5:34pmThey look STUNNING!
Snowman
October 8th, 2024 - 5:14pmOh my, a Must have. The Figures look Stunning but in the Lovely Packaging WOW.
Snowman
October 8th, 2024 - 5:54pmThis Seems to be there go too Outfits (We see First) as Online Exlusives. So what are the General Retail Outfits Does anyone Know?
I’m sure these are the Outfits that were leaked ages ago with the Alien Figure (That didn’t get Made). and the Meep Plush.
booboo
October 8th, 2024 - 5:55pmA mass retail version will be available shortly afterwards in fused blister carded packs; with the Fifteenth Doctor’s shirt in teal, ocean green trousers and tan shoes whilst Ruby Sunday is dressed in a denim jacket, blue skorts and cream jumper.
Snowman
October 8th, 2024 - 6:06pmBooboo, I haven’t seen them, but are they Utilizing the Same Sculpts just painted different Colours.and the 15th Minus is Trench Coat.
booboo
October 8th, 2024 - 6:12pmwe are not in the loop any more so have no idea sorry. we just get the same press release as 100’s of others
Snowman
October 8th, 2024 - 6:20pmI’ve No idea myself, but I’ve a sneaky Feeling there the Same figures bit just painted differently to save on Costs. I haven’t a problem with that as I know how much Tooling Costs for a totally New Figure and without doing this we might not have had the Figures at all. ( I’m Happy).
FH
October 8th, 2024 - 7:27pm@Snowman 15th will probably have the trenchcoat as he did in the episode. It’s almost certainly going to simply be a repaint with no other changes (except minus accessories I’d assume). I noticed it’s actually clever the way they sculpted his shirt with this figure so that, simply by repainting it, it works as the jumper/fleece he wears in Space Babies despite being a different type of garment. Very clever and something I didn’t notice at first.
Snowman
October 8th, 2024 - 8:29pm@FH, if there all New Sculpts then Great, if there just Repaints, Great, I’m happy either Way
Martino
October 8th, 2024 - 4:50pmThese figures look amazing, and are a most definite addition to my figure collection. First non-Classic purchase in a looooong time too. Is a Toymaker & Maestro likely? I suppose likeness rights could be pricey?
DRWHODR
October 8th, 2024 - 4:42pmI generally prefer the classic figures and the current season isn’t my cup of tea, however the sets look really good and I think I will invest in this.
Do you know what they’ll sell at?
Thanks
Youngj
October 8th, 2024 - 4:56pmThey will sell at £39.99 On Character Options on the 17th october 2024

October 8th, 2024 - 4:09pm“Blue skorts” lol
Typo
booboo
October 8th, 2024 - 4:11pm“skorts” is a thing
Snowman
October 8th, 2024 - 5:18pmYeah masterdoctorten, she wears those Shorts that are a Cross between a Skirt and Shorts. “Skorts”.
The DR.
October 8th, 2024 - 5:46pmIt isn’t even a New Thing. When I was 10, (47 Years ago) when we went on Holiday my Mother used to like Wearing Knee Length Shorts. To anyone else they looked like a Skirt. (But they were Shorts).
Jason Z
October 8th, 2024 - 6:13pmI’ve only ever heard it as ‘skort’ singular.
Snowman
October 9th, 2024 - 11:54amThere’s Culottes aswell. Basically the same thing but much longer. Looks like a Long Skirt or Dress but are infact Trousers.
Sime
October 8th, 2024 - 4:01pmBeen waiting for these! Decent price for the two of them. Love that the 15th Doctor has his sonic. Will be a definite buy from me.
DanWFA
October 8th, 2024 - 3:41pmJust seen that the two other versions will be the 15th Doctor from Space Babies and Ruby from Dot and Bubble!
pupbenny
October 8th, 2024 - 3:44pmAh I knew it would be! An easy change for the Doctor, just change the jumper lol.
pupbenny
October 8th, 2024 - 3:45pmAre there pictures of this somewhere out of curiosity?
Jackson Lake
October 8th, 2024 - 4:11pmWill those ones be repaints, or new sculpts too? (guessing the former)
DanWFA
October 8th, 2024 - 4:21pmNo pictures just that it will be those two as listed on the doctorwho.tv press release
They’ll be repaints as Doc and Ruby just wear recoloured versions of these outfits in those episodes. Maybe they’ll be coatless, we’ll have to wait and see
JRT!
October 8th, 2024 - 4:42pmSaw pics of the retail versions but don’t remember where. I’ll see if I can find them again.
booboo
October 8th, 2024 - 3:39pmA mass retail version will be available shortly afterwards in single fused blister carded packs; with the Fifteenth Doctor’s shirt in teal, ocean green trousers and tan shoes whilst Ruby Sunday is dressed in a denim jacket, blue skorts and cream jumper.
Stefan
October 8th, 2024 - 4:00pmDo we know who will be stocking the general retail editions?
booboo
October 8th, 2024 - 4:01pmprobably most of those who stocked the sonic
Stefan
October 8th, 2024 - 4:01pmDo you know yet which retailers will be stocking the general release editions?
FH
October 8th, 2024 - 3:27pmIt’s a shame they’re selling this as a set, would’ve preferred separate releases considering the figures are separate.
booboo
October 8th, 2024 - 3:29pmkeeps it in the post free bracket
FH
October 8th, 2024 - 3:43pmOh yeah that’s true!
Whovian
October 8th, 2024 - 3:51pmJust to confirm it’s £39.99 for both of them not each.
Loobop
October 8th, 2024 - 3:23pmthey both look amazing just hope one day we get coatless 14th and donna with quality like this .character really love their £39.99 price tags for dr who stuff don’t they is it their favourite number lol.
Neil
October 8th, 2024 - 3:18pmQuote pricey! Think I will hold off for the general release ones.
DanWFA
October 8th, 2024 - 3:24pmIt isn’t really? For two figures with that many accessories in this day and age of pricing, it aint bad to be honest!
booboo
October 8th, 2024 - 3:27pmThese are the fists 100% brand new figures for many years (as opposed to re-using parts) with new production methods, in hand they will look stunning i’m sure.
FH
October 8th, 2024 - 3:31pmTbh I feel like most of the accessories are there to justify the price. Couldn’t care less about half of them, (Ruby’s phone? Really? Oh what an iconic item!!!!) that being said I think it’s astonishing after all these years that we’re finally getting a psychic paper and I think it might be my favourite part of the set lol. Can use it for the 9th or 10th.
The Outcast
October 8th, 2024 - 4:20pmGiven the standard versions are to be around 18 quid each, this isn’t too bad for both figures and a few extra accessories.
Doodles
October 8th, 2024 - 3:13pmIt says an exclusive online version? Does this mean B&M might get a simpler version in the future? I wonder if that’s why two of the B&M sets were delayed.
booboo
October 8th, 2024 - 3:14pmno there are 2 general release ones as well like the sonic
DanWFA
October 8th, 2024 - 3:48pmThe B&M versions are going to be Space Babies 15 and Dot and Bubble Ruby
