There are 14 Issues left (139 – 152). There are 17 Classic Episodes left from 3rd Doctor to 6th Doctor. The two Davison adventures that are only two episodes long, which might not be released, bring it down to 15 & Shada, uncompleted, down to fourteen. This doesn’t count any 1st/2nd Doctor episodes. That may account for the odd issue increase to only 152.

Thanks for supplying this information, it’s really beneficial as I was about to ask a similar question 😛

Great theory but issue 142 is The War Machines – a 1st Doctor story.

Wouldn’t have worked anyway, that theory would have taken them to issue 153 so still one too high.

Most sensible idea is that they have been designing their magazines in advance and they’ll have run out of Eleventh Doctor episodes to feature in the flashback section by then (The Time of the Doctor would be in issue 152).

We’d already established that much. Did you get any more information, like how long they are planning to run to now?

Just received my revised subscription letter from GE Fabbri – extension to issue 152. No details of which stories though.

152 is a rather strange number to take it to. Five classics followed by the 2011 episodes perhaps?

In the shops at least issue 138 should be due out tomorrow (the 16th of April). Subscribers will get them whenever. Hopefully we might get an update on the future of the collection tomorrow but it doesn’t look good so far.

    Hi,

I stopped collecting these at issue 45 and I’m thinking about purchasing them up to the final issue soon.

My question is, does anyone know the ‘final’ issue number? I think it’s 140 because I remember looking at the official Wikipedia page for DWDVDF where it stated all the issues in chronological order. And also, does anyone have the link to that webpage too as I’ve been searching everywhere and can’t seem to locate it?

    Thank you 🙂

      Hi Greavesy

I’m still collecting these and there’s currently no official end date – but you are right, 140 was the last confirmed issue, however, if that happens it will be an incomplete collection.

The wikipedia page vanished a long time ago so you won’t be able to find it. Most of the issues are listed on here now, but to get up to date issue 134 is Nightmare of Eden, 135 is time Flight and 136 is Armageddon Factor which i’m expecting to arrive tomorrow and will then let you know what 137 will be.

Hope some of this is of help to you

Ah, that sucks because that page was very useful :P. And that’s true, if it did come to an end at issue 140, there would be an incomplete collection.

I’ve been doing a checklist and it looks like, once the collection hits 140, there will only be a few Pertwee-Sylvester stories left to be released. So yeah, I hope they extend the number of issues until they get every classic Pertwee-Sylvester included, along with some more Hartnell and Troughton.

And plus there’s series 6 and 7 to consider.

Thanks and cool, can’t wait to hear what

Probably have to subscribe or go to their website and buy back issues. Some FPs may still stock them, and the Works sometimes have random back issues.
