Just got these deliverers, they’re quite a good story, enjoyed them. But the thing that really annoys me happened here ie the “signature” is just the initials. I know its their right to sign things how they want but it just seems a bit disrespectful when you are being paid for it. I felt the same when I got Rose signed by RTD. Rant over, carry on.

I think the lack of comments says it all really. These multi-media platform “events” are a nice idea on paper, but don’t work in reality. Inevitably, releases get delayed spoiling the narrative and not everyone has access to all the platforms and therefore miss parts of the story. It all becomes too confusing, like Timelord Victorious (did anyone actually understand that in the end?!). As for BF, their releases are coming too contrived, ranges too numerous and gaps between releases within a particular range too long (8th Doctor Time War, for example – I’ve forgotten the story by the time the next part turns up!).

I have enjoyed the 4 narrated tales with Sooz Kempner being an excellent reader. Along with Jaye Griffiths and. Silas Carsen, bringing back Brian the ood. I do find many people talking it down have not engaged with any of it, even the DWM comic or the free Hour one on the Doctor who website.

The novel has the 9th Dr in the last quarter, and the BF Full cast sound great(relaased today) I think something substantial like the BBC/BF Cds/Downloads, as the start was a bit stuttered due to Titan issue 1 and 2 delays.

It’s not a bad idea but I think the multi platform thing doesn’t really work for me. I was really excited about Time Lord Victorious but ended up just being confused by it all. I think Doom’s Day would work well as a six-part comic run but less so as a multi-platform offering.

Honestly, dooms day is one of the most demotivating things about RTD2. Every time a piece of media comes out from it, a shred of my optimism for the new Doctor Who era dies.

What’s it got to do with RTD?
