    Seeing that line in the trailer it made it sound like somebody had tried to kill him and he’d hopped back up again like ‘sorry guys but I’m immortal’ but then in the actual episode…..it didn’t really make sense. It came out of nowhere and didn’t fit the scene, especially as he was just simply teleporting away afterwards he wasn’t doing anything that required a sacrifice or for him to die so I can’t really see why it was used.

    It would probably have made sense for him to die when that mutant attacked him and come back to life in front of Yaz

      I think it was Jack getting over his original Dalek death (which he had referenced a few times before, so he clearly had issues with it). Back in s1 he accepted death “I kinda figured” – but now he’s accepting (immortal) life.
