Bump-N-Go Cybermat – Pictures / Video

Character Doctor Who Bump-N-Go Cybermat

Expected 16th October 2011 RRP £16.99

Recreate scenes from Series 6, Episode 12. Closing Time with this replica electronic patrolling Cybermat with motorised tail action. Watch as it hunts, patrols and changes direction when it bumps into an object. Requires 2 x AA batteries. 5+

OK its a bit of a crude video – I’m not brilliant and these things but you get they idea – its great fun!

Our own images…

The packaging – The Cybermat is not “weathered” like the official image…

The Cybermat takes 2 “AAA” batteries which aren’t supplied. When moving around the tail moves from side to side and it randomly changes direction, It looks quite impressive…

The Cybermat seems smaller than in the episode but still looks good measuring approx 6.5 inches long by 3 inches wide…

The underneath – the mouth does not open to reveal any teeth…

The official image…

Apparently not, just bump and go, which is a shame.

Still a bit of work with a small RC car and Bobs your Uncle.

I’m guessing the “teeth are meant to be from the small creature that was turned into the Cybermat, just like humans become cybermen.

i think the dalek just crashed in its spaceship but the crash may of been caused by the doctor . and if you wanted to know what happened to the dalek after the crash if think the doctor just shut it down and accsessed his mind so he could find out everything the daleks no about the silence

If you look just under the eye there is a little “dent” which would imply there is a hinge there, so maybe it will, or maybe it’s just to hold the thing together.

No they didn’t CO don’t ask what people want, DWS is run by fans not by CO, He does well in trying to get Co do listen to suggestions, but most of the time they don’t listen to the fans, butthis does look nice, and I would love a complete replica with Lights sounds and opening jaw, that would be so cool.

This seems pretty good value as they seem to be around £14.99, a remote may have been £29.99 so this keeps it within everyone’s reach , good way to go i think really overall.

Bad news everyone, this is going to be all we’re getting. There isn’t going to be a Remote Controlled version released and it isn’t even being considered by the sounds of things.

well this is amazing much better than a tacky remote controlled one

    • D0ct0r11

      September 26th, 2011 - 6:00pm

I don’t see how a RC version would be “tacky”. It would look the same as this, but be much more entertaining as it wouldn’t just bangs off walls and turn around.
