Doctor Who B&M 2022 The Ninth Doctor Collector Set
The five new Doctor Who classic lines will be available in November 2022 at B&M stores nationwide. This Action figure Set includes:
- The Ninth Doctor (As TARDIS Emergency Hologram),
- The Ninth Doctor with updated head, Jacket and new deco.
- Rose Tyler Action Figure V1 with updated with deco.
The Ninth Doctor was an intense and emotional incarnation. We first encounter him as the sole survivor of the Great Time War and the last of the Time Lords. As probably the most simply dressed of all his incarnations, he had close-cropped hair, workmen’s boots, and an old beat-up leather jacket worn over a variety of different coloured jumpers.
This fantastic incarnation ended shortly after the defeat of the Daleks using the power of the Time Vortex which in the process triggered his regeneration. The Ninth Doctor was accompanied by Rose Tyler, from the Powell Estate on Earth who he took on many adventures across Time and Space.
Speaking of this wave of releases Al Dewar, Creative Director at Character Options, said: “This range has some real gems in it, including some not so easy to spot ones. The three figure sets are very cool and there’s at least one standout figure in each set, including a new Ninth Doctor with new components and an updated Rose V1. We also have a brand-new Angel variant as well as a physically new version of Yaz. Collectors will delight in looking for both variants of the Angel figure.
“With the Dalek sets – this time we have two absolute standout pieces with ‘Genesis of the Daleks’ and my personal favourite Dalek story ‘Destiny of the Daleks’. For me it has everything and I love the look of the battered war worn Daleks. Following that and much to my own delight, is a new First Doctor figure in the form of David Bradley’s Doctor paired with a very unique looking TARDIS based more on the TARDIS look in the BBC 2013 anniversary drama story which covered the creation of the TV series.
“Lastly to go hand in hand with the Dalek sets is a great special release featuring Davros and a very special Dalek … all I can say is fans will not want to miss out on that one!”

I haven’t commented on here for a while but with all the latest new Who news coming next year with Russell’s grand return things feel different for a good reason. Now we’re getting new Who figures which I’ll definitely be buying for Crimbo!

October 28th, 2022 - 12:01amWill pick this set up for the hologram 9th Dr and Rose variant. I remember I liked this Rose figure back in the day. The original version came in the Dalek Battle Packs from 2005 along with a fixed pose 9th. I loved how you could fit them together in a pose like they were evading the Daleks, Chris pointing his sonic at them. I believe this Rose version is from the final moments of ‘World War Three’ where she packs and leaves Jackie and Mickey behind. Would’ve been more accurate if they’d have painted her T-Shirt white underneath the hoodie and also painted the zip line but have to say I’m looking forward to picking this up!

October 29th, 2022 - 4:00pm@HS I would’ve loved an “End of the World” Rose figure! I think I read in DWM at the time that there was to have been a 12” figure of her released and I automatically pictured that outfit. In the end I think it came to pass that she was going to be a Walkie-Talkie to go with the 9th Dr but they swapped her for the Slitheen instead.

An Anne-Droid would’ve been a great figure. I have the Eaglemoss version and she’s awesome!

October 25th, 2022 - 4:48pmi thought i would only want the 10th and 13th b and m sets but i want this set too i never owned original rose and love the recolour,it’s great holo 9th final got a release beyond his prototype.Glad they didn’t go with 70’s disco articulation 9th that came with the regeneration set.

If they keep repacking her with a couple of decent figures so she sells, maybe in Twenty or Thirty years they’ll get rid of all the remaining stock.

Looking at the Rose head she does look more Anthea Redfearn than Billie but taking into account the other 2 figures are fine i may just pick them up with the rest. Those genesis daleks i cant make out whether they are the correct shade. Might just try and purchase an original Genesis set like i did with the death daleks.

It is a comic strip doctor rather than screen doctor and i couldnt live with that 1st varaint Rose in my collection even in its modified form. The hologram 9th is nice but i cant justify paying full price for that one figure. The rest i think are a given.

October 26th, 2022 - 9:14amColeman, the first doctor sets were 3.99 at my store as have other classic sets. Nobody has bought any 10th doctor or 8th doctor sets at my store. Stop assuming 13rh doctor sets are the only ones that dont sell. Most of them dont.

I wasn’t on about the sets. I’ve been collecting the CO figures from the beginning (2005) and was commenting about the Disco Dancing Rose figure never being a Big Seller. (For obvious reasons).

October 25th, 2022 - 12:39pmIt says Rose Tyler action figure V1. So, are we going to get another Rose, V2, at some point in the near future, do you think? A slightly more updated one, perhaps? But still, a very nice selection of figures from an era that is quite well catered for, figure-wise.

Could be wrong but the normal 9th Dr just has alternate paint apps on the face to make it look like a new head sculpt? Same thing happened with the prototype image on the back of the 11 Doctors boxset
