Doctor Who B&M 2022 History of the Daleks Set 11

The five new Doctor Who classic lines will be available in November 2022 at B&M stores nationwide.

This action figure set includes:

  • Genesis Dalek Drone B
  • Genesis Dalek Drone C

Please note the official image is of the SAME Dalek, Please see box image Below for differences in ears, gun arm ball joint and oval.

Official Image:

The Dalek figures here represent two of the four Daleks used in this story. It might be expected that a story concerning the origins of the Daleks would mean that they would be refurbished to match that of the original 60’s Daleks, however because this story was so drastically different, and set in an unending war zone, the Daleks were a shiny gun metal grey.

A VERY rough mock-up of the differences between the 2 Daleks

This was in keeping with the militaristic tones of the story. Although it is one of the simpler colour schemes in the Dalek’s history, the ‘Genesis’ Daleks have gone on to be one of the most iconic.

Speaking of this wave of releases Al Dewar, Creative Director at Character Options, said: “This range has some real gems in it, including some not so easy to spot ones. The three figure sets are very cool and there’s at least one standout figure in each set, including a new Ninth Doctor with new components and an updated Rose V1. We also have a brand-new Angel variant as well as a physically new version of Yaz. Collectors will delight in looking for both variants of the Angel figure.

“With the Dalek sets – this time we have two absolute standout pieces with ‘Genesis of the Daleks’ and my personal favourite Dalek story ‘Destiny of the Daleks’. For me it has everything and I love the look of the battered war worn Daleks. Following that and much to my own delight, is a new First Doctor figure in the form of David Bradley’s Doctor paired with a very unique looking TARDIS based more on the TARDIS look in the BBC 2013 anniversary drama story which covered the creation of the TV series.

“Lastly to go hand in hand with the Dalek sets is a great special release featuring Davros and a very special Dalek … all I can say is fans will not want to miss out on that one!”

There’s still absolutely loads of these at Anglia Retail Park Ipswich. Wish I could post a pic. It’s impressive!

They’ve got a large stock of these at Anglia Retail Park B&M in Ipswich. There were loads last week and there’s still loads today! Not sure when they arrived as I’m late to the party on this one. Wasn’t expecting a release so soon after Planet/Death Dalek sets so I didn’t check!

For US buyers, WhoNA has a stock of 9 of these. They in non-mint packaging, however.

Agreed… I disliked the new packaging so much that I’m no longer collecting them, and am off-loading the 10 sets I got so far…

But when you think about it, these are marketed as “collectors editions”, and the packaging is – I would argue – an integral part of that, especially if you are displaying them in the box. Imagine if Hatchette had changed the design of their DOCTOR WHO – THE COMPLETE HISTORY series halfway through the run…

Same here. Utterly hideous design. And they stick out like a sore thumb compared to the first 8 sets. One consolation is that from this year the history sets will be solid cased.

Yet another Genesis release and oh look ANOTHER one this time with Davros. Why this particular dalek gets made several times over is beyond me. The story itself is over rated. Give me seeds of doom or talons of weng chiang anyday…

I really like how these look. The only downside is that the Genesis Daleks I already own are going to look like imitations compared to these.

As a fellow US buyer, your best bet is to check out WhoNA.com. They usually get in a small stock of about 10 or 20 of each set. I check that site every day after they start appearing in the UK. So, I check here everyday to see if they’ve been released, then check WhoNA.com every day afterwards. 🙂

There’s a CO video on YouTube and the sets look more gun metal grey. The Davros set in particular is pretty stunning. Don’t know why they’ve turned the comments off though.

Hoping that the electronic tardis is easy to pick up or will be available to order online. I was hoping that this would be a character exclusive because you can more or less guarantee to purchase one.
Missed out on the Hartnell tardis and was so didapointed. Distribution not great for some of these sets. Seems to be hit or miss.

They’ve chosen a really odd colour for these, why are they brown? They don’t look like the distinctive grey of the Genesis Daleks at all. I can’t tell, but looking at the first image it seems like they’re both exactly the same? If so, that’s a shame as they’re missing a trick not having one of them have a silver gun, like they’ve released previously.

Also just realised the irony of me complaining about the gun being dark not silver (on one of them anyway) when I was complaining about the opposite for the Death To The Daleks set lol.

They’re not brown mate, that’s just the lighting. If you look at the review and presentation videos on YouTube you can see the actual colour and its great.

Looks like CO is going to stay with the cheaper packaging, removing the “window” from the History boxes and use a formed plastic over the items in the back of the box. I don’t know, but it would seem to me to be more expensive to tool specific covers and shape them to the individual items in the boxes than to just stick with one large sheet of plastic.

Yeah, I thought that too. Indeed, I’d say the Dalek colours seem a fair bit more off this time round. But that might just be in this promo photos, in hand they might look a lot better, since the inbox Davros and Dalek pack Dalek seems to look a lot better.

Yeah it is the lighting. Theres a review of it on youtube and you can see the actual colour better there.
