How are they crediting Alan Moore this time, please?

As the Original Writer! Seems very silly to me. I’ve nearly finished the book. It’s been decades since I read these strips but I remember them distinctly.

Finished the book and put a review on the waterstones website but for some reason it needs approval and I can’t think why?

      Here’s the review.

I had been waiting for many years for these to be released and now we get the second concluding volume of the doctor who back-up strips. The stories here were first printed in the pages of the, then, doctor who weekly comic and then the monthly magazine as it became back in 1981. These hold a lot of memories for me and revisiting them now was a joy. The stories here are written by a variety of authors (see list) and feature a variety of who monsters, villains and a few friends. The stories are well written and well illustrated tales. Only one of the stories have been collected before whilst most of the rest haven’t been in print for over forty years.
      The stories are…

Yonder… the yeti by Steve Moore
Black legacy (previously collected) by Alan Moore
Business as usual by Alan Moore
      Star death by Alan Moore
The touchdown on deneb-7 by Paul Neary
Voyages to the edge of the universe by Paul Neary
Crisis on kaldor by Steve Moore
      4-D war by Alan Moore
The Greatest gamble by John Peel
Black sun rising by Alan Moore
Skywatch-7 by Alan McKenzie (writing as Maxwell Stockbridge)
The gods walk among us by John Peel
Minatorius by Alan McKenzie (writing as Maxwell Stockbridge)
Devil of the deep by John Peel
The fires down below by John Peel
The fabulous idiot by Steve Parkhouse
A ship called sudden death by Steve Parkhouse
City of devils by Gary Russell

I’m over the moon these have finally been released. Great nostalgic fun.

Any ideas why it needs reviewed?

Ah, thanks. I knew that was Mr Moore’s preferred credit previously if a company insisted on crediting someone, but I thought he’d moved past it… I found a random name generator online, so Alan could have used that to draw less attention if it was what he truly wanted. (That came up with Robbie Brooklyn and Sam Dallas as suggestions – perfectly bland noms de plume.)

Well that was weird. I removed the list. Once that was gone the review posted instantly.

Don’t know for certain but as Gary Russell is mentioned I think it’s probably going to be the following stories.
      Yonder… the yeti
      Black legacy
      Business as usual
      Star death
      The touchdown on deneb-7
Voyage to the edge of the universe
      Crisis on kaldor
      4-D war
      The greatest gamble
      Black sun rising
      Skywatch-7
      The gods walk among us
      Devil of the deep
      The fires down below
      Minatorius
      The fabulous idiot
      A ship called sudden death
      City of devils

There is a typo in the Amazon listing, it should be “Black Sun Rising” which was the title of the comic strip: https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Black_Sun_Rising_(comic_story)
