THE ASYLUM OF THE DALEKS
When the Doctor, Amy and Rory are captured and brought before the Parliament of the Daleks, they naturally fear for their lives. Expecting to be exterminated, they are surprised to be asked to save the Daleks, Humankind has somehow managed to enter the Dalek Asylum – a planet where insane and unruly Daleks are dumped. A spaceship has crash landed rupturing a hole in the planet’s defence shield. If humans can get In, then Daleks can get out!
Plus there’s at least one survivor; Oswin Oswald has sent out a distress signal. Facing his most dangerous enemy, the Doctor and the Ponds must enter the Asylum, rescue Oswin and stop the breach before any insane Daleks can escape into the universe. However, the Doctor discovers a heartbreaking truth and realises not everyone can be saved…

October 13th, 2014 - 3:41amI’m pretty sure these sets have a mix of 6 different variants, considering the position of the stamp ( for the drone and supreme Daleks, stamp on side of plunger or weapon, for each figure; FX Dalek stamp on the front or back of its dome). Booboo can you confirm?

October 12th, 2014 - 8:54pmI managed to reserve and pick this set up yesterday from Toys R Us in Solihull! They only had 2 on the shelf, so I’m glad I reserved it! It a great set with the 3 Daleks looking great in there battered paint jobs, if you like Daleks then get this set

October 12th, 2014 - 10:20amme and my partner are massive doctor who fans and have seen nearly every episode so no it dose not make sense the supreme dalek should not be rusty or dirty he was squeaky clean on the space ship maybe if you watch it you will see that he is clean look at the picture at the bottom of this link see for yourself

October 12th, 2014 - 12:02pmThere was a Supreme in the Asylum (seen very briefly when Rory wakes up the inmates) which was the damaged/dirty prop from The Wedding of River Song. There was also a Victory style (non metallic) Strategist.
It’s the Drone that was never seen in the Asylum so it’s strange that the first release of it in metallic red is weathered.

October 13th, 2014 - 6:48pmAgreed but it would have been nice for them to release a clean metallic Drone first and then do a weathered variant. Although when CO do get round to releasing a clean Drone I hope it’s as a single release so that I can army build.

They dont have very many left now so i would advise people to pick this up quick. The red asylum dalek can be very clean in some of the sets compared to others so i got one of the cleaner ones.

October 11th, 2014 - 7:11pmI didn’t like how it just appeared (a parliament AND asylum) and we’re just expecting to be fine with the fact they have a parliament ect… I bet we won’t even see it again – in that story everything was there to just set up the impossible girl stuff and nothing else.
Its a good story but some kind of foreshadowing/foreknowledge would have been nice.

October 12th, 2014 - 12:00pmI agree with Tom, in Asylum of the Daleks you only see the white Supreme Dalek on the spaceship and he is perfectly clean. It’s the same with all of the new paradigm Daleks, they weren’t on the Asylum planet at all. The only one that really makes sense in that set is the rusted bronze Dalek.

October 12th, 2014 - 8:35pmThe fact that there are Daleks in this set that aren’t in the episode comes under the same question as why the Eleventh Doctor green coat figure variant has a waistcoat on despite never wearing one in any episodes with that coat.
The point of asking why they’re dirty seems like a silly question when it’s an asylum set! I thought it was fairly obvious why they are dirty

October 11th, 2014 - 10:34amIt’s just various scenes from the episode photoshopped together I believe. That odd dalek is an intensive care one, you don’t see them much. If you look close enough, you can actually see a person on the left hand side, I think it’s Rory.

I really hope this turns up on their website as I’m not paying the silly prices for it on E-Bay. I’d have hoped TRU would have learned from the mess they made of the last wave of Dalek sets from last year.

No Asylum Dalek 3 packs or any on the play-sets at all.
