THE ASYLUM OF THE DALEKS
When the Doctor, Amy and Rory are captured and brought before the Parliament of the Daleks, they naturally fear for their lives. Expecting to be exterminated, they are surprised to be asked to save the Daleks, Humankind has somehow managed to enter the Dalek Asylum – a planet where insane and unruly Daleks are dumped. A spaceship has crash landed rupturing a hole in the planet’s defence shield. If humans can get In, then Daleks can get out!
Plus there’s at least one survivor; Oswin Oswald has sent out a distress signal. Facing his most dangerous enemy, the Doctor and the Ponds must enter the Asylum, rescue Oswin and stop the breach before any insane Daleks can escape into the universe. However, the Doctor discovers a heartbreaking truth and realises not everyone can be saved…

I went to toys r us Medway/Chatham (Whatever you want to call it) and they had 11 Asylum dalek sets, 5 ice warriors and 3 weeping angels (WAVE 1) NO TIME ZONE SETS whatsoever. But they did Have the 10th and 11th doctors Mr Potato Heads for £14.99 each.
Then I went to The Smyths store “Nearby” and they had 2 10th doctors 3.75, 3 Amy ponds 3.75″ and 1 Asylum Dalek 3.75″. I bought the asylum dalek
Overall a good trip but I wish I got my hands on a time zone playset for FREE!!!

I was in the Medway toys r us earlier, I got the Asylum set and nearly all of them had bent plunger arms.

When I got my asylum set, there were 2 cold war sets on the top shelf next to the character building sets. I took 1 cold war set leaving 1. It mustv’e gone by the time you got there. 🙁

There were 2 cold war play sets on the top shelf that you didn’t see!

October 4th, 2014 - 11:58pmGot mine today from Toys R Us in Milton Keynes. They had about four sets. My red drone has a slightly wonky arm, but it was the best of a bad bunch. The box is slightly dented in places but the sets that had perfect boxes had even worse bends in the arms of the drone or supreme. I got a Dalek Timezone playset too free, and with a voucher I got both sets for £19.99. It’s a great set of Daleks too.

October 4th, 2014 - 10:02amHmm, not a huge fan of these. 2/3 of them aren’t even accurate. Personally I’d have liked to have seen a ‘clean’ burgandy Dalek and a classic Asylum Dalek. That would make it worth buying for me.

October 3rd, 2014 - 9:15pmI’m a bit disappointed with the way the Drone looks in these pictures. I’m hoping though the metallic finish looks better in person.
The Supreme is a lot greyer than I thought it would be and isn’t far off how it looked in Wedding of River Song.
Not interested in the RTD Dalek so I’ll sell that on. Assuming of course this set ever turns up on TRU’s website.

I have to say I quite like the weathered look on both of the Paradigm. I just hope we don’t have to wait too long for a clean Drone.

October 3rd, 2014 - 4:41pmI just got them. Some of the supreme daleks had paint missing from the hemispheres as well as bent eye stalks, suckers and the bronze has a mould mark on the skirt. Typical CO quality. 🙁

October 3rd, 2014 - 4:05pmNothing in TRS Bromley or London Bayswater. They are both smaller stores though. I did pick up two Seventh Doctor Dalek sets though lol. I think we’ll all have better luck in bigger stores but they are harder to get to 🙁

October 3rd, 2014 - 12:56pmArrived at TRU Peterborough today. They have 9 of them left and 8 Angels/1 Hide playsets. A lot of the Paradigm daleks have severely bent sucker arms, and the asylum ‘stamp’ is in a different place on every one! My bronze one has the ‘stamp’ on the front…..
