Doctor Who and the Stones of Blood: 4th Doctor Audio CD
Available to order from www.amazon.co.uk
Geoffrey Beevers reads the original Target novelisation of this Key to Time adventure for the Fourth Doctor, Romana and K-9.
Chanting, hooded figures gather inside a ring of ancient stones, using rituals of blood sacrifice to awaken the sleeping evil of the Ogri.
Landing on late-20th Century Earth, the Doctor and Romana find science and ancient mysticism in opposition when they meet the eccentric Professor Rumford, her friend Miss Fay, and their mysterious neighbour Leonard De Vries.
Shuttling between coastal countryside and a deep-space cruiser trapped in hyperspace, the duo attempt to track down an alien criminal and unravel the mystery of the stones of blood. Luckily, they have the help of the faithful K-9…
Geoffrey Beevers reads Terrance Dicks’s 1980 novelisation of the BBC TV serial by David Fisher, with John Leeson providing the authentic Voice of K-9.

January 22nd, 2026 - 4:58pmGreat News! I was wondering if the Terrence Dick’s version would come out with the fantastic Andrew Skilleter artwork. Fantastic news. Now for the Terrence Dick’s Androids of Tara and John Peel’s Evil of the Daleks please too!

January 23rd, 2026 - 3:35pmWhat Nick said – the Fisher novelisations are interesting, author-validated versions … but they’re not what many of us grew up with. ‘Stones’ is (arguably) better as a book than the broadcast show, thanks here to Terrance’s tidying hand, and never fails to impart a wish for sausage sandwiches. Looking forward to getting this in the ears.
