Dr Who Adventures Superfan Competition

Doctor Who Adventures Launches Doctor Who Superfan Competition

UK’s biggest Doctor Who Superfan will win a Cyberman visit to their school and a once-in-a-lifetime experience to celebrate Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary!

Doctor Who Adventures magazine, the biggest-selling UK pre-teen magazine for boys, is on the hunt for the nation’s biggest young Doctor Who fan with the prize of a Cyberman visiting their school and a VIP family ticket to the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Celebration at the ExCel Centre in London. Open to children aged between 5-13 until 2 October 2013, fans need to send up to 250 words explaining why they should win the competition and a photo demonstrating why they’re the ultimate Who fan.

To enter, children must fill in the entry form in the magazine, out now until 10 September. The magazine is encouraging fans to send in their most creative ideas and brilliant collections for a chance to win. The lucky winner will be able to upgrade their school with a terrifying visit from one the show’s top monsters, and they and their family will enjoy VIP access to all areas, travel and accommodation at the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Celebration. Four runners-up will receive a goodie bag filled with official Doctor Who products.

Editor of Doctor Who Adventures magazine, Natalie Barnes said “We have such imaginative and dedicated readers, so this competition is a fantastic way of giving them the opportunity to show the world what Doctor Who means to them. I can’t wait to see how they celebrate their favourite show through photos of them dressed as the Doctor or monster, pictures of their incredible bedrooms, fantastic collections and more! We’re really excited to offer such a fantastic prize.”

Hello! I’m Ayan i’m 13 year old girl and i’m a really big fan of Doctor Who. Both Classic and New. I live in North Carolina, USA. Doctor Who makes me really happy and it would literally be an honor just to be part of this competition. After 50 years of this brilliant running show being part of this would be the dream of a lifetime. Thank You.

Hmm… I’m not sure you can find the biggest fan. Especially not by looking at how much merchandise they have, or how many of the Doctor Who cast they’ve met, and certainly not picking out of such a small age range. I don’t think there is a biggest fan. As Mr. Capaldi says, “Doctor Who belongs to all of us”.

Ah man… That would have been awesome if it were available in the US. Don’t forget, there are fans over here too. My 12 year girl loves the show so much she dressed as the Weeping Angel from her fav ep “Don’t Blink” for Halloween last year. Looked like she came right out of the tv! Took some really cool pics.

Lets get this straight! It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been watching it or how much merchandise you’ve collected! All it matters is that you love Doctor Who!

Think about it, we are the people who helped Doctor Who become what it is today, doesn’t that make all of us the biggest fans?

Um, 16 year old girl who loves Doctor Who and appears to be the only person on here who does want a Cyberman to come to school and yet i’m too old to enter and apparantly its a boys magazine anyway, which i find a bit sexist since i know loads of girls who love Doctor Who -_-

    • MasterKasterborous

      August 31st, 2013 - 8:45am

Just to be clear about what this means. Magazines fall into different categories and this simply means it is bought by mostly boys in that category; anyone can buy it but it is that age range that will be the main focus.

Yeah, doctor who magazine should do the same thing but for older whovians. You get a cyberman visit you in your work place and a VIP romantic husband and wife ticket to the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Celebration at the ExCel lol.

    • Timelord3

      August 30th, 2013 - 4:47pm

If you have been watching in the 60s, wouldn’t you be over 13?

    • Alex

      August 30th, 2013 - 5:45pm

Watching it since the 60’s doesn’t naturally make you the biggest fan. It doesn’t matter how much merchandise you have or how long you’ve watched it.

We are all the biggest fans! Think about it, we’re the people who helped Doctor Who become what it is today! Doesnt that naturally make us the biggest fans anyway?
