Hmmm, change is (mostly) always nice, but I’ll have to wait for my copy to arrive before I make my final judgement. 😛

First impressions of the cover though, it looks… a little more ‘juvinile’ than previous incarnations.

      *Juvenile.

I think it’s the fonts that give that impression, rather than the ‘new comic’ picture. (Actually, I’ll looking forward to seeing the new comics).

I don’t know why people are criticizing the magazine so much. What’s the big mistake?

I usually find those who criticize it are outside the age range its aimed at

I thinks is more that the fact that while it is good and certainly now fits the age range, it sort of alienates those of us who are outside the age range. I don’t think its bad at all, its just not as good for people outside the age range hence the cretinism as the old look.

If it would good for the people outside the age range it would probably be not good for those inside its age range

I think they had a pretty good balance previously between producing a magazine that is essentially for young children, but still appealing to older children and adult collector’s too.

But, this magazine *is* designed for younger children, so if the new design better suits that age group, they should stick with it if they find it works.

I bought the new magazine on Thursday and think it has changed for the better, although they need to update the site immediately – it’s horrendous!

Not so fond of the new look. It’s a bit too colourful and bold for my liking. Doesn’t suit the show.
However, the contents of the magazine has improved quite a bit. I can understand this is aimed at younger readers but some of their previous features (mostly from last year) felt like they were trying to hard to appeal to kids. And a lot of that seems to have gone now (apart from ‘Alien Babies’). But the rest isn’t bad.
The magazine may not LOOK good but the quality has definitely improved from before.

More like this in the future, please!

‘Immediate Media Co is re-launching Doctor Who Adventures magazine and its website with a new logo’.

Not really a new logo, it’s just the word ‘Adventures’ has been changed.

Still looks the same as usual.
