Doctor Who Adventures issue 266

Doctor Who Adventures issue 266

Ah, May Day.

A funny old day where you can dance around a pole and grown men tie bells to their legs and wave hankies.

I’ve been to a planet where it’s like that all the time.

I didn’t like it much.

Also, May Day reminds me of What I have to shout when the TARDIS goes out of control and crashes!

Also inside…

*Dalek champ

*Creepy crawly chuckles

*Labyrinth adventures

*Ood have thought it

*Buying time (comic)

*Monster invasion

*The tenth Doctor regenerates! and much more…

This weeks issue comes with an Angel attack set!

I got this today, but I don’t think the jokes are funny. I like how the gift isn’t stuck on anymore as the comic got sticky. Although, next week, why does it come with Moshi Monsters stickers?

I have to agree with you there, i dont like the gifts tapes to the mag as sometimes it rips the cover.

I do not pretend to know the ins and outs of costs or the feasibility but if DWA could work with character on some sort of CB build a figure over several weeks and army builder figures it would be brilliant

I remember a while back going over the figures when when there was news of an apparent “exclusive” coming (in the end it was just a regular figure, and not everyone got one) and it seemed feasible enough to have a figure released as an exclusive based on the normal run of one of the figures in a series of figures, although it would probablly have to be a variant of an already existing sculpt, but that shouldn’t be too hard for them to do as CB doesn’t really have that many variations of the different types of parts.

I have a good idea for a DWA exclusive CB set-the Byzantium Forest. Week 1- Instructions and base. Week 2- 1 opened tree-borg and 4 closed tree-borgs. Week 3- 5 closed tree-borgs. Week 4-Serene Angel and series 1 Doctor micro-figures.

      Interesting points.

I expect there is a market, albeit for a 2-3 year period, for Character Building to do their own part work magazine. Whilst building a mega-set over 50 weeks or so seems feasible the interest could wain and so it might me appropriate for them to do loads of small sets and unusual characters.

The interest in Character Building figures is simply staggering, and one that Character Building’s own business model cannot fully equate, because of the value these figures reach once sold and opened.
