February 10th, 2021 - 10:36amThere is a website called Golden Discs which operates in Ireland that currently has the 50th Steelbook for 40 euros, which equates to around £35. The only problem is, is at the moment they don’t ship to the UK due to Brexit, but they hope they will be able to very soon. So if you have had your order cancelled elsewhere or haven’t been able to get, I would keep a look out on it for when you will eventually be able to get it shipped to the UK.

February 10th, 2021 - 10:44ambe careful, when they do ship you will most likely have to pay 20% vat on top, many people ordering from outside the UK now are finding themselves with some unexpected costs

February 12th, 2021 - 2:54pmEbay prices now include VAT, which they collect on your and the government’s behalf, so you shouldn’t have a surprise charge. The new system is like Australia’s, so foreign retailers and sites like ebay are meant to collect British VAT up front. It’s dealing with this that is causing some foreign shops to halt or suspend UK delivery, because they don’t want the fuss. But to give an example, the Irish store you mention, if signed up, would remove Irish tax (as a foreign sale) and replace it with VAT, so your final price would be almost the same. This is how European Amazon branches are already doing things.

February 9th, 2021 - 10:01pmI think amazon may be out of stock for pre orders as I think I may have messed up. I am not a Prime member and so usually pay the extra for delivery to be on day of release but when I ordered this on Nov 23rd, thinking it would not be as manic a situation as the classic series blu ray box sets and watching the pennies with Xmas coming up, silly me decided to not pay the extra postage. When the date of release was announced I was initially given a date of 12th Feb for delivery. And within a few days that changed to 15/16th Feb then closer to release it became 12/13th . This morning it changed again to 15/16th Feb and then tonight, it is now showing March 31st!!!! I have been in touch with amazon to see if I can change the order by paying for delivery tomorrow. Not possible as they have no stock and can not estimate when more will arrive…if ever. I asked about this end of march date and she said they will review the order then if still not fulfilled. If they get stock , I (apparently) will be allocated one but the only option she can offer is to cancel which I declined. I am starting to look at getting another one elsewhere as I am not confident amazon can fulfill it. What is galling is I know people ordered far later and have already had them

February 16th, 2021 - 12:20pmAmazon told me mine was out for delivery on Saturday the 6th of Feb to arrive on 8th Feb. When I tracked on the Monday it said “Undeliverable.” I contacted an Amazon Customer Support Advisor who said it had been damaged in transit and they would give me a refund. When I said I just wanted a replacement, they said no…just a refund. I asked them was this because I had pre-ordered it at £25.99 in December and now it was £36.59 with them….they actually replied “No comment.”

February 16th, 2021 - 3:53pmMaff, are you sure that wasn’t a third party “fulfilled by Amazon” price? Amazon had sold out by release day and the buy box had altered to a third party seller that they dispatched. Otherwise you were unlucky and had a smart alec staffer who didn’t know the correct procedure – if you did buy again from them and that was their own price then you’ll be able to get the difference refunded.
