I have all the figures in the wave apart from the angel and any variants, I like the new figures, they save a lot of room and look great on the time zones

lol, ‘make bigger adventures’ how can you do that when they are smaller figures? 😆 The voice isn’t very good if i’m honest, sounds a bit to superman which doesn’t really go with a doctor who advert

I have the black Dalek, but I’ll keep looking for the others. I’d really like the two Angel variants (screaming & projected) and probably the Clara to.

I went to Newcastle last weekend and saw all of the wave in Forbidden Planet. My brother bought the Doctor in light purple coat and a standard Cyberman. After a long debate with myself (LOL) I decided to buy Clara Oswald in black dress and an Ice Warrior. They had the Weeping Angel and the Dalek but a) the last Dalek was taken 2 minutes within entering the shop, b) The Angel was badly sculpted and had sharp bits sticking out of it. We went to a restaurant afterwards, and within 10 minutes of unwrapping, my brother’s Doctor’s head came off!

The Doctor’s head is supposed to come off, it’s sculpted that way; every one is like that. Maybe to do regeneration sequences in the future? 🙂

Mine stands no problem at all. In fact all of them are standing without support. You just have to adjust the leg positions!

    • timelord22

      June 15th, 2013 - 2:38pm

Me to! I think they stand pretty well by themselves to. I don’t know why the Weeping Angel has a stand to be honest, it always falls off it and it doesn’t even need one anyway! You might just have to use the stand.

    • Danny Brown

      June 15th, 2013 - 6:15pm

pushing their legs back a very little bit usally helps

I was upset to begin with as I went to great cost to go around shops spread far and wide. Got the Cyberleader and resigned myself to not finding a Dalek. However, I could have seen other variants and not noticed.

As a die-hard collector, the Dalek and Cyberman variants I am excited about. Clara in a different colour dress, not at all. I would get it for £7 but not at current eBay prices.

If CO genuinely sprinkle a few chases in each shipment that goes out to get people back to the shops each week, then it is great, otherwise not.

I imagine they are out there, just too insignificant to notice. If I looked at mine I would not know if it was the standard or variant.

Nobody has suggested an Ice Warrior variant yet. I tried looking for one in the shops but nothing obvious jumped out.

Dinosaurs on a Spaceship: Spaceship background with Amy
A Town Called Mercy: Town background with Kahler-Jex’s ship.

      I think I spotted a Doctor variant…

It’s towards the end of the advert, where he turns and the pink dress Clara is standing behind him. Might just be me but his waistcoat looks like it’s painted in the darker blue he wore in The Snowmen, Nightmare in Silver and The Name of the Doctor.

Actually, it’s a bit of a shame that they made this one I rare. I think I prefer it to the standard grey one. Character… *shakes fist*
