EndlessTimelord

September 7th, 2014 - 2:48pmMine was the same….They give a refund and the option to either keep the item or to send it back for any posting costs to be refunded..
EndlessTimelord
September 7th, 2014 - 3:29pmSo they don’t actually have the touch control sonic screwdriver?
The Face of Boe
September 7th, 2014 - 5:21pmI got stung by this but I believe the retailer when they said it was an accident and they were very contrite and helpful in the end.
It isn’t even in stock on the CO website.
David1996
September 8th, 2014 - 8:26pmI have to agree, it is a genuine mistake and the seller was very nice about it…not many sellers would offer a refund and a free sonic like that.
However until it’s either in stock in the Entertainer and on the CO site, I think I’ll wait for this

September 5th, 2014 - 9:05pmWhat’s the difference?
Dalekparadigm2
September 5th, 2014 - 11:55pmNot a lot, it’s now touch activated (no more button on the end) and the end is now a ‘power core’. It’s not much change but still a nice addition.
David
September 5th, 2014 - 6:30pmFP now say delayed on my order – no stock yet.

Rusty The Dalek
September 4th, 2014 - 8:08pmThe Removable Power Core has featured in Series 8!
In “Into The Dalek”, The Doctor gives the ‘spare’ core to Ross to swallow, so he can track it’s signature and follow the anti-bodies
So there you go, it IS canon
Anonymous
September 5th, 2014 - 8:03amHow do u know it was the power core he gave to ross
David
September 6th, 2014 - 8:26amThe script says spare battery so could be….

The four Doctors
August 28th, 2014 - 11:17amYes you should
NCC1701D
August 27th, 2014 - 8:07pmYou know I could be wrong, but I’m sure that in Deep Breath when the Sonic is rolling round on the floor that there was a hinge on the bottom, so maybe the button on the end of the original toy was accurate after all but just never shown onscreen.
Russell Sellers
August 27th, 2014 - 8:54pmActually, in the episode “The Time of Angels” the 11th doctor uses the button on the bottom of the screwdriver to “sonic” river. Just a little tidbit of info for you 🙂
NCC1701D
August 27th, 2014 - 9:26pmSo it would seem the button on the bottom wasn’t so much of a ‘gimmick’ after all.
Russell Sellers
August 27th, 2014 - 9:58pmThe weak hinge was annoying, but that is down to poor materials.
Minembo
August 29th, 2014 - 3:00amWell the reason for that is because on the show prop it had a tiny magnet to hold it but the character options one didn’t…
doctor W
August 27th, 2014 - 4:59pmHas this been dispatched to people and FP stores yet?
the astronaut of death
August 27th, 2014 - 1:12pmI wonder if the power core will be is season 8
doctor W
August 27th, 2014 - 4:43pmLikely not, CO seem to do lots of non canon stuff with their sonics. Always possible though….
planetofthewhovians
August 27th, 2014 - 12:54pmI love the idea of the bottom core but I do have worries weather or not it’s going to be securely on as the 11th dr sonic had that hinge that would never close ,but in my eyes this is a great improvement especially the touch sensitive feature .
the astronaut of death
August 27th, 2014 - 12:48pmBooboo will the BBC shop get this?

August 27th, 2014 - 8:59amI saw a repackaged 11th Doctors sonic at Toys R Us yesterday, but it didn’t mention any of these features and just said ‘The Twelfth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver’. Is it the same one?
booboo
August 27th, 2014 - 9:01amno this is different has “touch control”
the one you saw like you say is just the 11th repackaged
The four Doctors
August 23rd, 2014 - 9:41pmSo is this out now? I want to know because I am going to Forbidden Planet tommorow. Please reply…
DocEke
August 27th, 2014 - 8:22amI believe so, yes.
The Doctor
August 15th, 2014 - 6:58pmWhat exactly is “the power core”?
the astronaut of death
August 15th, 2014 - 7:02pmwe don’t relay know
as it has never actually been on the series
I imagine it might be where the sonic gets its power from or something like that.
it might be included in series 8
Kekoa
August 13th, 2014 - 5:42pmdoes anyone know where to order this in the US
NCC1701D
August 11th, 2014 - 3:52pmCan anyone tell me, does Amazon have these available now, by which I mean not for pre-order but for sale now, as the Amazon page suggests, or have you got to wait, because both Forbidden Planet and Forbidden Planet International don’t get them for a few weeks yet. Oh and it is the touch Sonic as the page suggests and not actually the single button one.
GalafrayLord
August 14th, 2014 - 6:54pmI think amazon does but it’s very expensive

August 2nd, 2014 - 1:01pmGreat way to start of the merchindise as well as the 5inch Capaldi regeneration and the midget release – and the other 3.75inch line. Will one hundred per cent be buying this. Glad to see they stuck with 11’s I was angry at first but seeing this sonic looks amamzing – really like the prop. August 8th, 2014 - 10:14amYeah I got that one! It is really good, no power core, but it looks and works really well! If you have the chance, get either one of these! 🙂
WFK DVD Collector 14
August 1st, 2014 - 3:46pmIt’s not really the 12th Doctor’s sonic. It’s the same design as the 11th’s. Unless there’s a minor difference I’ve not noticed yet…
booboo
August 1st, 2014 - 3:49pmthey never did a touch control 11th
GallifreyanKnight
August 2nd, 2014 - 10:53amIt’ll be nice to finally have an 11th Doctor sonic screwdriver toy that is closer to working in the same way as the prop does. 🙂
