August 1st, 2014 - 3:41pmSounds better than the original 11ths.
Dalek 95
August 1st, 2014 - 3:16pmI saw this recently in my local entertainer store, not something I would buy as it just includes an extra piece of plastic. My advice- Stick with the 11ths.

August 2nd, 2014 - 1:27pmWhat was the packaging like?
The Doctor
October 21st, 2014 - 9:13pmIt is far superior to the 2010 Elevenths screwdriver. I own both this and the 11ths and there are many improvements that have been made. Plus it is relatively screen accurate to what Capaldi uses in the show. All in all a wonderful addition to the collection.

August 1st, 2014 - 1:15pmlooks good for sure

August 1st, 2014 - 12:11pmthis is just the 11th doctor’s sonic 😐
Sam Richard Bentley
August 1st, 2014 - 1:19pmYes, they use the same model. But this is a new model for the toy – as there is no button to make the lights and sounds. So technically… no. It’s not.
Galloping Dalek
July 30th, 2014 - 5:45pmAwesome I have to get one when it comes out!
obey the whispermen
July 20th, 2014 - 12:52pmSo basically there is no but to activate the light s and sounds you just put two fingers on both sides of the handle and it activates.
Awesome
July 9th, 2014 - 11:33pmI love that the button is finally in the right place. When is it coming out?
the paternoster gang
July 17th, 2014 - 8:28pmI think it is out now. I saw it in my local Toys r us.

July 6th, 2014 - 1:03pmI have been wanting a new 11th/12th doctor’s sonic for some time…
Should I get this and would it be worth the $40 including postage?
Harold Saxon
June 28th, 2014 - 12:26amlooks pretty good,might give it a whirl.
JDP Manjoume
June 26th, 2014 - 9:49pmPower core looks interesting but still no attempts at getting rid of the extension button? Surely, they could use magnets to do it like the real prop.
Doctor Hugh
June 26th, 2014 - 3:59pmThis looks really cool 😀
the astronaut of death
June 25th, 2014 - 12:24pmI wonder if that power core thing is set to be used in series 8
John Smith
June 25th, 2014 - 12:28pmWhat do you think the power core is used for? Man I can’t believe everyone is so excited for just one power core, keep it up Moffat!
Doctorwhofan561
June 27th, 2014 - 11:12pmMaybe the power core is taken out and put into some sort of machine or the tardis
tardiskeysince1963
June 25th, 2014 - 7:43amHaven’t seen the power core in the tv series. Is it just a thing for the build your own sonic set or is it something that is going to be featured in an episode?
CG
June 25th, 2014 - 10:39amI’m assuming it would be in an upcoming storyline. If it wasn’t, I’m not sure why it would be included.
GallifreyanKnight
June 25th, 2014 - 12:22pmActually, it was sort of seen in “A Christmas Carol”, when one half of the sonic screwdriver is stuck inside the flying shark.
But it look completely different, and bigger, than what this version of the toy is going to represent.
Sebatron
June 24th, 2014 - 12:46amYES PLEASE!!! Just hope it has a better spring. Either way, I’m getting it!
GallifreyanKnight
June 24th, 2014 - 12:28amThere’s also a “single button” version too coming out at around the same time.
Still spring loaded though…

June 23rd, 2014 - 7:57pmI wonder if the button is merely a release button and it will also have a flick feature rather than a spring loaded pop up top. That would make it even more prop accurate and to be honest might make me want to buy it.
David1996
June 23rd, 2014 - 7:38pmOh my gosh wow! Having that!
GallifreyanKnight
June 23rd, 2014 - 6:34pmAn 11th Doctor sonic that works in extended mode without any modifications being done?
I wonder what the catch is…
David1996
June 23rd, 2014 - 8:10pmProbably the price
The five doctors
October 16th, 2014 - 2:08amNo catch same price as a regular eleventh’s

June 23rd, 2014 - 5:21pmSo this is the Twelth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver but in the description it says “Be just like Matt Smith”
You know, I have no idea how many incarnations of the Doctor there have been now, thanks to the 50th anniversary, so I’m completely confused.

June 25th, 2014 - 12:34amThanks guys, I think I’ve got it.
Josh Harris
June 23rd, 2014 - 4:24pmI think I like this much better that the last one, where you had to open up the bottom and press an big ugly button to make it make a sound in the open position.
Tardis’nt
June 23rd, 2014 - 3:41pmwho makes it?

June 23rd, 2014 - 3:25pmLooks interesting, I might get one and see if its an improvement or not to the original 11th/12th Doctor sonic screwdriver
MrHalho
June 23rd, 2014 - 3:19pmThe power core is nice, but everything else is more or less the same. I would rather spend my money on something else.
Phil
June 23rd, 2014 - 3:16pmGreat! I’ve always wanted a Sonic replica that goes Bzzzttt!
THE ENIGMATIC WATCHER
June 23rd, 2014 - 1:53pmFinally, a more accurate version! Sounds great!
Tim Foil
June 23rd, 2014 - 3:09pmIf you think this is somehow MORE accurate, I’ve got a screen-used bridge to sell you.
THE ENIGMATIC WATCHER
June 23rd, 2014 - 3:53pmI meant this toy seems to be a more accurate representation of the prop (save the “power core” feature which is a slight unknown in regards to whether it appears on-screen in Series 8 or not) and its features such as the correct lower placement of the activation button on the black “grip” section and the ability to now activate the lights and sounds while the sonic is extended from said button. In short, this toy is more functionally accurate to the prop(s) than the previous and current versions of the toy available.
DoctorWhoFan101
June 23rd, 2014 - 1:41pmSo, a re-release with some updates. It seems nice!
Sam Richard Bentley
June 23rd, 2014 - 12:57pmI’ll have to get this – but do you think it closes? I looks like it might – and it appears to have a button to extend the sonic… this definitely looks like an updated, better version of the sonic they’ve just re-released.
Scott
June 23rd, 2014 - 12:56pmLooks cool, I wonder if the power core will be something seen in an episode
