The new Thirteenth Doctor figure is no exception; the attention to detail, real clothes and quality of the product make it a great collectible for fans of all ages.”

July 20th, 2018 - 1:02pmI don’t normally go for this scale of figure, but the first pic I ever saw of this sold me! Instant pre-order! These new pics (thanks very much for them BTW) have only made me happier that I did decide to get an order in! It’s brilliant!

July 20th, 2018 - 9:29amto be honest we were trying to have a bit more of a write up ready but last night was rather busy!
Pictures say it all really the likeness is spot on

July 20th, 2018 - 9:39amI’m the sort of collector that often leaves things on display unopened in the packaging and I have to say this will look great displayed next to the Seven20 sonic.
When did your sample of this doll arrive Booboo? Did you have it before the sonic was revealed yesterday?
booboo
July 20th, 2018 - 9:46amyes but it was all embargoed so we couldn’t show it until this morning

July 20th, 2018 - 9:20amDo we know if this is going to be in high street stores like Toymaster and The Entertainer or is it The Who Shop, Amazon, FP and Character only? 🙂
booboo
July 20th, 2018 - 9:21amwe dont for sure but would imagine it will find its way into some stores.

July 20th, 2018 - 8:21amMay I ask can you put the hoodie over her head?

July 20th, 2018 - 8:41amThat’s great, thank you booboo – your photos have convinced me to look into buying this, I’ll probably wait until Character have it back online and also list the new sonic screwdriver.
prototype dalek
July 19th, 2018 - 6:25pmI decided that I won’t be buying any of the 13th Doctor stuff, just not really keen on her especially the 10″ figure so will keep away from these, if any daleks are made then I will certainly buy them. Will watch the series when it starts again though.
LastOfTheSonics
July 20th, 2018 - 8:16amAfraid there probably won’t be any daleks releases this year due to them not returning for Series 11.
Anonymous
July 20th, 2018 - 8:33amThey could release daleks under classic wave or just part of a general wave, even if they are not in the series, they normally sell well.
Ruth
July 18th, 2018 - 10:06pmI think it looks neat. I prefer a bigger scale and having actual clothes instead of moulded plastic is a bonus. More in this style please. Pre-ordered.

July 16th, 2018 - 10:47pmOh dear, oh dear, oh dear…
Let’s face it, it CO sticking it to us again by changing the scale yet again… Theres no way this is in scale to the 12″ figures! Jodie is 5’6″ and David Tennant is 6’1″ A difference of 2 inches in the dolls is equat to a difference of 1 foot in real life!! She is only 7″ shorter!
I know a lot of Dads who even in this day and age would never allow there sons to have female “dolls” as they see them.
CO need to stick with the 5″ (5.5″) range and do more to get retailers interested… by having figures for the new series available by the time the episode it’s in airs, and by allowing them to pick which figures they want in a box…
I can see this one going the way of the Matt Smith 8″ and David Tennat 12″… the bargain bins down Poundland (assuming they don’t go bust).
Anonymous
July 17th, 2018 - 12:24amMaybe its the dads that need to change.
Anonymous
July 17th, 2018 - 8:50amThis “doll” really is no different to the 12” figure range they brought out years ago, that my parents happily bought me for Christmas and Birthdays, that included the Martha one. It’ll have the Doctor Who Logo on it, they aren’t gonna care. If anything it’s more like a action man
booboo
July 17th, 2018 - 9:07amI have no doubt we will see a 5.5″ 13th Doctor, buts that’s a different market, this is aimed at, I assume an entirely new generation of fans both male and female as well as long term collectors.
CaptainJimiPie
July 18th, 2018 - 6:28pmWhere exactly is the confirmed that they’ve decided to do this INSTEAD of a 5.5″ figure?
As far as I’m aware there’s not nothing official said along those lines, and it’s just people assuming that’s the case.
booboo
July 18th, 2018 - 6:32pmthat’s quite correct, but for some people if it hasn’t got 5.5″ in front of it they shouldn’t be making it at all in their eyes
Who Knows
July 18th, 2018 - 6:36pmI was hoping this doll would be stylised the same way as the Star Wars Forces of Destiny & the Newly Incredible 2 line of dolls.
Who Knows
July 18th, 2018 - 6:47pmWorth checking out if you haven’t seen them – they are beautiful products that have a right to be on the market.
booboo
July 18th, 2018 - 6:55pmThe problem here is that Star wars would outsell any Doctor who Figure a 100 times over if not more, and i fear the market is just not big enough for these variations, i believe this 10″ figure is aimed squarely at the UK market to get Doctor Who products back on supermarket / toy shop shelves to cater for a new % off the target audience.
whovian
July 18th, 2018 - 11:41pmWhoFanUK, it’s just a plastic toy. Any child of any gender should be allowed to play with whatever type of toys they want to. It’s political correctness gone incredibly, mad.
Nicholas Dickens
July 16th, 2018 - 10:06amI must wonder who’d have the 12” figures from 2006 12 years later? Especially children getting them into the new range?
I wish they’d continued the 12” range, well it wasn’t successful, the thing is, will this one relaunch the range?

July 17th, 2018 - 12:35amI still have a Cyberman and Judoon somewhere, haha

July 15th, 2018 - 12:23pmSo is it coming out on the 23rd of July, 8th or 30th August

July 15th, 2018 - 1:35pmwho knows, such wild variations for the same product
The Doctor Who Pages
July 15th, 2018 - 9:23pmCharacter options have confirmed that they will be Dispatching stock from the 23rd July and Forbidden Planet, Amazon and The Who shop will receive the most stock rather than character online

July 14th, 2018 - 1:24pmLook at the neck! Prefer the 5.5 inch models.
Exterminator
July 14th, 2018 - 3:15pmNow you mention it, that’s way out of proportion.
Bruno B
July 15th, 2018 - 7:39amI take it’s the best solution to get an articulated neck without adding the articulation at the chin. it does look a little odd though.
Merlin
July 15th, 2018 - 6:29pmYou couldn’t have an anatomically correct neck with fabric clothing, her hood would be half way up her head :p
David
July 12th, 2018 - 11:49pmSo, er, you can take her clothes off…..?
Anonymous
July 13th, 2018 - 3:55amYou could do it with the smith and tennent 10″/12″ figures released in years gone by, those weren’t ‘anatomically correct’ though, and I highly doubt this will be either. (don’t question how I know…)
James
July 15th, 2018 - 12:21pmDon’t know but I will certainly try
Nicholas
July 12th, 2018 - 7:57pmThe stripes on the jumper are totally inaccurate but the face is really good!! Might have to order this
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
July 12th, 2018 - 7:34pmso is this in line with 5″? if so i will get it – but it says 10 inch..
Nicholas
July 12th, 2018 - 7:59pmit’s a 10″ doll with fabric clothes. Not in line with the 5″ range. More merch is to be announced in due course, a 5″ 13th Doctor, 5″ TARDIS and a sonic screwdriver are likely candidates and most probably will be revealed when we’ve seen the trailer
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND
July 12th, 2018 - 9:26pmthanks1 i think ill wait for the 5″

July 12th, 2018 - 6:14pmIs Underground Toys still doing the USA distribution for Doctor Who?
booboo
July 12th, 2018 - 6:17pmNo UT dont exist now, its seven20 who have no connection Character any more.

July 12th, 2018 - 8:34pmOk thank you! So who does the US distribution now?

July 12th, 2018 - 11:34pmThat gap is still waiting to be filled by the looks. I have a feeling it will be Amazon

July 13th, 2018 - 12:54amHopefully because I really want to get a Thirteenth Doctor figure.
EndlessTimelord
July 12th, 2018 - 5:14pmKinda makes me hope we can get a 12 too. I got 10 and 11 as gifts when they came out so deffo will pick this up!
Anonymous
July 12th, 2018 - 7:55pmYeah, however, 11 and therefore 12 will be out of scale, as the david tennant range was 12″, whereas, 11 was 10″. Apparently, the fact jodie is quite short in real life, and this is a full 10″, the same as the smith figure, she will technically be just about in scale with the tennant range (as Matt Smiths figure SHOULD have been anyway.)
James
July 12th, 2018 - 4:58pmI’ve ordered it but it’s coming out on the 8 which early in the morning I’m going on hoilday so it will come when I’m out let’s hope it comes a day early
Bruno B
July 12th, 2018 - 8:21pmCO announced it in stock for 23/07
James
July 13th, 2018 - 7:52amLet’s hope it comes early then
LastOfTheSonics
July 12th, 2018 - 9:41amI didn’t know that Jodie had ear piercings. Do we know if she has her braces underneath that coat as well?
100,000BC
July 12th, 2018 - 12:47amTo me this seems more in the style of an action man than a barbie (it’s proportionally accurate, for one thing, the hair is a single plastic piece and her outfit and stance suggest galactic adventurer). Plus it’s essentially a continuation of the Tenth Doctor line from 2006/7.
Also worth noting: ‘sonic accessory’. So we’ll get some sort of new visual material revealing at least the sonic screwdriver design, presumably at comic con (the character site says shipping date 23rd July).
Nicholas
July 12th, 2018 - 8:04pmIt will be in the trailer 🙂
Bruno B
July 12th, 2018 - 8:22pmThe sonic was leaked online in photos a two weeks ago.
EndlessTimelord
July 12th, 2018 - 8:33pmThe chances are there will be an official reveal though before we see it as I cant see them showing it after a leak. Also it may not be THE Sonic
AlexanderOP
July 12th, 2018 - 12:00amThis is all so exciting and awesome, I’m wondering if the new Sonic will have a special kind of gimmick like 11’s extending with the claws or 12’s having the rotating lights.
I also wonder if they might release a nice new trading card set to go with this series, stickers are okay but they’re nothing compared to the battles in time sets. Those ultra rare lenticular cards though 😀
Doctor Stu
July 12th, 2018 - 4:26pmI think Jodie’s sonic gimmick is that hers splits in two but this is pure speculation
whovian
July 11th, 2018 - 10:55pmI really like the look of that TARDIS, it’s like its cgi, but it looks super clean and edgy

Exterminator
July 11th, 2018 - 9:00pmI really like this but I probably won’t buy one as it’s just too ‘Jodie Doll’ for me, although I did get the 11th Dr with beard doll as that was a freebie from toys r us.
I think young girls will want it but can’t see it being very popular with boys apart from hardcore collectors. I’m sure Character Options have done their market research to see if young boys will play with this doll, I’d love to see the results.
Doctor Stu
July 11th, 2018 - 9:12pmIt’s literally the same as the others that have been released apart from this one is just of a woman
whovian
July 11th, 2018 - 10:43pmI like her from a collector’s point of view and as a toy fan
Exterminator
July 11th, 2018 - 11:17pmI know it’s the same character only this time it’s a woman.
I tend to not buy any of the dolls was the point I was trying to make. Bearded 11th was given to me free in Toys r us as part of a promotion for spending £20 on Dr Who merchandise in store! I miss toys r us 🙁
I’m genuinely interested to see if young boys would play with it though. I think the sales figures are going to be very interesting.
Having said that I probably wouldn’t buy the 10” Jodie Doll, if they were to release a big Tardis for this figure then I would snap it up.
LastOfTheSonics
July 12th, 2018 - 9:42amAs a collector of all things merchandise – and also the fact that I’ve followed Jodie Whittaker throughout several of her past TV Shows and Movies – This is a definite buy for me, and I’m a Male. It doesn’t bother me that it’s from a doll template, I just love Jodie Whittaker as an actress.

July 11th, 2018 - 8:21pmWhat about the coat, shirt and trousers being released as well as the figures?

July 11th, 2018 - 7:26pmIt’s a Doctor Who Barbie doll. Interesting. My 12 year old daughter will definately want one.

July 11th, 2018 - 7:15pmyes finally new merchandise even though 3 of the things show I don’t care for (vinyl )
this 13 doctor 10 inch figures look amazing and I am so tempted to buy It when I have the cash but I am hoping at comic con we see 5.5inch figures cause to me that’s were its rely at I love the line so much it is one of my favourite toy lines of all time just look at that head sculpt on the 10inch its spot on to Jodie whittaker one while other toy lines took time to perfect there head sculpt likeness Character Options has mostly nailed it since they obtained the licence in 2006 expect the dark period of the 3.75inch figures my only concern is I am guessing that there more than likely will hit shops in the uk but what about other county’s like Canada, America, Australia and other county’s like I know that comic shops will get them but what about retail shops like Walmart cause even though doctor who started as this weird little British tv show back in 1963 it has grow to this massive huge pop culture icon were people all other the world know watch the show and love it and I feel that who ever does the distributing needs to get these in to more mane stream shops like Walmart, superstore and other stores across the seas shops like how we have b&m exclusives why cant they also be shared so in each county one store has it as a exclusive so every one can get it like Superstore in Canada, Walgreen’s in American and so forth just share the love of Doctor who all across the world.
Bundy
July 11th, 2018 - 6:50pmIs there any chance (risk) the TARDIS due to be coming out is actually for the 10″ figure rather than the 5″ figure range?
booboo
July 11th, 2018 - 6:52pmi don’t see it myself it would be huge (and expensive) but you never know
Judooning
July 11th, 2018 - 6:53pmPossible I suppose. Then again it would be easy for them to just tweak the existing 5″ scale one. But actually a 10″ scale TARDIS wouldn’t be that bad!
Bundy
July 11th, 2018 - 9:41pmWhat is making me wonder, is that the Barbie market has a lot of wardrobes, closets etc. which scale wise are probably not that much different to a TARDIS, and the figure itself is being pictured standing next to a TARDIS.
booboo
July 11th, 2018 - 9:44pmcould be. we might find out next Friday
The Outcast
July 12th, 2018 - 12:24pmI can say with a fair bit of certainty that the TARDIS due to come out will NOT be of the 10 inch scale. On Zappies, the retail price listed was 20 pounds. Now I highly doubt any TARDIS to this scale would cost 20 pounds, especially as that is the price for this figure alone.
Besides, it doesn’t fit with what Character has done in the past, they’ve never made a 10 inch scale TARDIS before, so why would they now?
Demdike@CultLabs
July 11th, 2018 - 6:29pmLets hope these new products are actually for sale in shops and not just online

July 11th, 2018 - 6:40pmpretty sure they will be all over
Judooning
July 11th, 2018 - 6:17pmCharacter online have already nearly sold out of their initial stock. There are 18 figures left. Couple hours ago there were 46
