I love pin badges very much, but there’s no way I can afford the £90 price tag, sadly.

Same Darren. It’s a really lovely set and I’m sure they’re high quality, but sadly above my price range for what they are. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a sale in a few years, but suspect they’ll be gone! Lol

Really annoyed and far from happy about this set having already bought 8 of these badges already. No way am I paying £90 for the other 5 badges!
I hope Forbidden Planet will release the 5 either as a set or individually later like they have with the other Tardis badge set exclusives they have issued previously.

I collect stamps, and I’ve angrily written to the Royal Mail many times to complain about them releasing more sets just when I think my collection is finished. Last week I tried to buy their Paddington Bear set at the counter, but it didn’t cost what was exactly in my wallet so I walked out in protest!! I am really annoyed and far from happy that they didn’t run after me and force me to buy it!! And also, why can’t Asda sell eggs in boxes of one? I don’t want six!

      Not funny or constructive!

Moaning about a company releasing too many products **for you** is not useful to anyone.

I’m in agreement with Anonymous, I too have bought all the Tardis badges sold by Forbidden Planet, it would be nice if Forbidden Planet gave customers who have bought the earlier tardis badges the option to purchase the 5 exclusive as well.

      Hi Anonymouse / Alvin,

It’s unlikely any of these badges will see a solo release – not least because we’ve already marked them as exclusive to this set. Depending on where Fugitive’s story goes, her’s may one day be an exception to that mind.

However, in turn we’ve excluded some designs from this set that you’ll have picked up as exclusives in the others. Namely the 10th Doctor TARDIS with Bad Wolf text, or the 6th Doctor’s “Attack Of The Cybermen” repaired TARDIS. The set also doesn’t include the pink 7th Doctor model from “Happiness”, nor the colour versions of 1st and 2nd.

We haven’t done this to ‘con’ anybody out of an extra £90. However, next year being the 60th we know that lapsed fans will return to the fold, and this gives them one easy to buy/market set of the lot. Why feature new designs at all in it then? We wanted to release some TARDIS models prior, but they weren’t deemed commercial enough for a solo release. So this allowed us to release those ‘extra’ designs, as the set absorbs the initial tooling costs.

Martino: That’s not what he’s doing.
But if the Beeb release the last Collection blu-ray only as part of a 26 season box set, you’ve surely got the job as their PR man…

Release 96 in the range? Is that right? Or is that counting all the T shirts, coasters etc in the flashback series or just the badges? I’ve been collecting all of the flashback pins and I’m sure there isn’t 96 yet!

Would imagine no 96 in the Diamond range, sounds a lot but not if it includes individual t shirts etc, i know they have a lot planned.

      Hey Ryan,

The Diamond Collection launches in October. This is a teaser, as it has a longer lead time and pre-orders needed to be considered.

You’ll see lots of the other items (t-shirts, enamel pins, keychains, art prints, postcards) launching for the 60th then. All numbered randomly. It’ll be promoted at the time, and the FP website might have a check list for what’s what. I don’t think they’ll announce all 100 things to be begin with, but the list will fill out over time. Booboo, I’ll be in touch with the list when I can.

All Doctors (inc. War / Fugitive and a more surprising one…) have a small range in the Collection, so we’ve covered all bases. For example we have a nifty Second Doctor art print (no spoilers!) that’s number 17 in the range.

Thank you very much for answering that in regards to the Diamond collection! Will be collecting them all as they come! The flashback collection badges/shirts have been wonderful – keep these coming!

      Thanks Anthony @ FP

Luke is setting up a dedicated Diamond page (which will feature all franchises). Everything will still have the individual posts as well.
