The only thing wrong with the episode is the dalek voices arent really the best but i think this is the episode following from the evil of the daleks is quite a long time ago so they couldnt use the original voices.

The reason why they are different is because day of the daleks was not going to be a dalek story but fans wrote in to bring the daleks back. The problem was that they could not get any of the original voice overs so they improvised.

I’ve seen this. I like the Ogrons. I also like the bit where Jo and Mike Yates are eating Cheese or something-I haven’t watched this in ages.

-which include: The fact that the story wasnt actually going to even have the Daleks in it! (but they were rolled into this production at the last minute) (!)
So the Voices, they couldnt get them rite, that device for changing the actors voice, they have to reset the readings each time and so it changes, inconsistencey. And the Daleks (this relatively doesnt matter to the story, and from what Ive learnt this story is a most intresting and dramatic and classic kind of story (the plot) ) never had beam-weapons till Tom Bakers era. But its fixed!

Found out about this yesterday. Out of the three times Pertwee had an encounter with the Daleks (and yes, Fronterier in Space doesnt count as another one) the story I would choose is, well, Planet of The DALEKS actually. In spite of (wrongly) watching the entire six-part episode from start to finnish in one viewing, and thus feeling somewhat sea-sick and ungratified by the end, it later went on to acclaim its place as my choice-favourite most enjoyd most loved Pertwee story. But this episode is excellent in many ways despite the letdowns.

The picture was probably reversed, the BBC were never great with covers pics etc.

This sounds like an amazing dvd, and I hope that the special effects and new voices live up to my expectations and that they have the same classic quality. This is a story from my favourite era, Jon Pertwee, and I hope I will be able to buy this and watch it!
