    Wow.

The commercial is barely catchy at all…
And the presentation is too static, with no voiceover at all.

I know they are banking on the fact that people who already know Doctor Who would buy them, and not attract random people to buy these stuff… But come on, they are barely trying.

This really shows why companies like Hasbro/ Mattel, 2 major companies doing action figures, are the Master Race.

The commercial is only a preview. A voiceover is extremely likely to be added 🙂

I think the character building new 11 doctors wave/set look great, I mainly like the:
    3rd Doctor
    4th Doctor
    6th Doctor
    8th Doctor
    and the 10th Doctor

Although I think they should do a version of the 5th doctor with his hat on

      So maybe a 5″ clara!

    • Hellbelly

      June 6th, 2013 - 8:26pm

Not as far as the toys from what’s been said. The BBC class every Doctor before the current one as “classic” with regard to which version of the logo is used and the colour scheme of the packaging, but Underground Toys/Character only really count Docs 1-8 as Classic.

    • Anonymous

      June 11th, 2013 - 8:27pm

The “classic” era is defined in terms of who is in charge (so Matt Smith isn’t about to become a “classic” Doctor). Moffat’s team took over production for the final scene of The End of Time, so that is defined as the start of the “new series” until Moffat and co leaves (this also conviently means it is 1963-2009 for the classic and 2010-present for the new without any overlap for confusion).

    • trenzalore

      June 11th, 2013 - 8:35pm

      i thaught ‘classic’ was 1963-1996
      and ‘new who’ is 2005-present

    • booboo

      June 11th, 2013 - 8:38pm

in the traditional sense and how many people see it, but not as far as merchandise, licensing and branding are concerned

I assume those CB 11 doctors, are teh doctors we would have got in the 5′ 11 doctors set. Shame, I would have bought purely for 3rd and 8th, maybe 2nd and 4th good too.

I collect both as they are all Doctor Who, and I enjoy all eras, even the Tennant years which fell a little flat in my eyes. It’s all down to which era you prefer, really.

Looks amazing! I hope to get: 3.75 inch Doctor, Clara, TARDIS, Dalek, Cyberman and TARDIS playset, 9th Doctor + Guard Dalek set, maybe some of the iconic scenes sets (Depending on what the final releases are), and possibly a Talking Dead Planet and/or Special Weapons Dalek. I might not get much since I’m in US and I don’t have a lot of money either, but we’ll see.
