As of this afternoon, Leytonstone had a single UNIT set and some 13th sonics and Barking had both the 2nd Doctor and TARDIS as well as the history of the Daleks sets (a half-dozen of set #1 but only 2 left of #2).

Willesden, NW London has the Thirteenth Doctor sets only. AND they’re not in the toy aisle, they’re near the greeting cards and activity toys for some reason.

Canterbury, Sturry Road, B&M… All the sets! Loads of 3 pack figures. 5 TARDIS (2nd Doctor) packs. 5 Dalek (#2), but only 1 Dalek (#1) set… Last week I was here they only had the 3 figure sets. So its worth double checking your local (& semi local) stores. Happy hunting everyone.

Yeah I wasn’t happy that they had moved them in Aylesbury. It’s nice for them to have blocked out a metre on an end but for some reason they had put the end opposite the toys section which was kinda less obvious. Glad you managed to pick something up.

This lunchtime B&M Hartlepool (Middleton Grange) had Dalek set 2, the UNIT set, and the classic companions set. B&M Hartlepool Home Store (Teesbay Retail Park, Brenda Road) had 13th Doctor companions set and Dalek set 1.

Were they actually stolen? So they didn’t pay? Or brought up by one person?

    • xxadamscottxx

      August 4th, 2020 - 1:56pm

Yea the woman did not pay she put them in a bag and went straight out of the shop every worker was too busy with other customers to stop her im assuming. Its so frustrating as I’m not sure I’ll be able to get them now and might have to give in to ebay scalpers

    • Aaron

      August 6th, 2020 - 3:37pm

I wouldn’t worry about eBay scalpers if I we’re you – my local store (Droitwich) has had the Dalek sets, 2nd Doctor TARDIS and 4th Doctor Companions set but not the other sets yet. Hubby picked up the 4th Doctor Companions set for me last week and has been in every day since to look for the others and not one other set has been sold.

He has spoken to store staff and they say demand is pretty much non-existent whereas they were used to previous ranges flying off the shelves.

You can easily pick up last years sets from Amazon sellers and eBay for about £15 so, if you can’t find any sets now, I’d say sit tight and they’ll appear on eBay and Amazon at some point for pretty much the same price as in store.

    • Spacewarp

      August 6th, 2020 - 10:23pm

@Aaron – I agree. There really haven’t been a massively huge amount on Ebay in previous years, certainly not the thousands that you would expect if they were being bought up willy-nilly. It seems to depend on what Doctor Who fans there are in any particular area. I’ve seen TARDIS sets languishing on shelves for weeks, although Daleks seem to be snapped up quicker, but I put that down to the Dalek being the most popular toy for the youngsters. Every kid likes a Dalek. When the Regen 4th Doctor TARDIS set appeared a couple of years ago they were on Ebay for silly money at first, but then after 6 months or so the sellers realised they couldn’t get rid, so dropped the price back to cost. For example you can find Big Finish Dalek sets on Ebay that went for about £25, which is pretty much cost price plus postage.

    Booboo,

Will this year’s release be similar to last year?

ie- stock will be released in staggered waves over several weeks?

Should we be expecting more stock in the weeks to come with refreshers?

Or will this be a one-time hit (with a revamped and retweaked release as we saw in the leak in December)?

    • booboo

      August 3rd, 2020 - 4:47pm

I suspect this was aimed to almost sell out by the time those other sets arrive.

I would imagine stores can still pull in the figure sets if needed from the central warehouse at the moment but its just an unknown.

    • Luck4unow

      August 3rd, 2020 - 6:12pm

    • Anonymous

      August 3rd, 2020 - 9:10pm

Yes, but in regards to “once their gone their gone” they are gone. There is no refreshed stock, it’s just about availability in the central warehouse and store sales. It’s all automatic shipping with B&M.

    • Groggy44

      August 3rd, 2020 - 10:35pm

Basingstoke store received a run of the Big Finish Doctor/Dalek sets not long (I. E. Weeks if not days) before this new wave so they don’t always sell out immediately and can be restocked. I managed to pick up all 3 plus a peladon TARDIS long after I’d given up hope so it’s possible they’ll continue to restock for a while.

Just picked up a tardis set and both Dalek sets in Aylesbury, bucks. There were about 5 tardis sets, several companion sets, half a dozen unit sets and only two of both Dalek sets as of today 2/8/20. The lady said b&m have being doing lots of stock takes over the last weekend so some stores may be sitting on a few boxes til today. All of their stuff in Aylesbury went out last night and almost all the Dalek sets went this morning real quick.

Bear in mind that the two different History of the Daleks sets come in the same cardboard box – so whereas one box of any of the three-figure sets contains 12 identical packs, a box of the Dalek sets contains 6 of set 1 and 6 of set 2. My local store appears (so far) to have received one box each of the three-packs, and one box of the Dalek sets. That may well vary by store, of course, but it may be that stores are getting half as many of each Dalek set as they are of each companion set.

Just popped to my Local Store (Cheltenham) and they had about 9 Tardis, 3 History of the Daleks #1 ( I picked up HOTD 2 last one they had along with HOTD 1) and lots of three figure packs of both friends and foes, UNIT and 4th doctor Companions.

So if you are after a Tardis/Daleks then I suggest you head to Cheltenham

Friends & Foe of the 13th Doctor.
    Troughton/TARDIS: The War Games.

There was one History of the Daleks #2 but I got that.
