July 28th, 2020 - 12:03pmExcuse me for bringing this up, but why does it seem like only the North and West of the British Isles has been receiving far more sets than other areas? I keep seeing posts from people who managed to get complete sets from either one or two stores? I ask because the East/South East have seen no such thing from B&M. After visiting 5 stores (of varying sizes) since Saturday, I’ve found 2 stores selling just the 4th Doctor Companions Set, 1 selling just the Unit Claws Of Axos Set, 1 selling just the Friends and Foes Of The 13th Doctor Set, and 1 that was selling both the 4th Doctor Companions and Unit Sets. How is it fair of B&M to distribute everything to some stores, and at the same time, next to nothing to entire Counties? The Dalek Sets and War Games Tardis Set are going to be scalped and people in the unlucky areas of the country will end up paying Ebay prices, long before B&M get around to stocking them in those stores. Sorry to be “ranty”, the US Whovians have it even worse 🙁 .

July 28th, 2020 - 12:15pmI’m not 100% up on how it works but i think everything goes to a central depot then to regional distributions that in itself can cause varying delivery times to different parts of the country, on top of that these sets are now packed as “solids” meaning all the same sets are in one box which they didn’t used to be they were mixed so a store would always get all the sets in one go, now you could have box of 13th Doctor sets on one delivery and the rest on another some days/weeks later
that doesn’t explain all of it but might explain some of it

July 28th, 2020 - 12:25pmWhovians outside the UK have it worst,not just the US! No such thing as B&M here in Norway,and I have a real hard time supporting scalpers on ebay. Still hoping to somehow get 4th and 13th set though,lol! I know,but miracles do sometimes happen,lol!

July 28th, 2020 - 1:03pmI have seen 4th Dr companion, UNIT and 13th Dr sets in Cornwall. There was nothing in Plymouth Transit Way, Bodmin or Redruth/Penzance stores on Sunday and these sets only started arriving yesterday – sadly no sign on Tardis or Daleks yet though 🙁

July 28th, 2020 - 12:09pmI went into Bedford Goldington yesterday to find the 13th doctor set but it wasn’t on the shelves even though the app said they had stock. They only had unit and companion sets no daleks or second doctor tardises. 3rd doctor tardis was there and some big finish sets. I think its the same at St Neots and the other Bedford store but I’m not to sure.

“We really appreciate your patience. Amazon’s FBA fulfillment centers are pretty backed up right now due to excessive numbers of shipments being received, largely due to COVID related trends in general ecomm, along with growing demand for Amazon products during lockdowns. With that said, we’re sorry if things are taking a bit longer than expected. We realistically expect them to be live on Amazon within 10-14 days.”

July 27th, 2020 - 8:41pmManaged to pick up the last of the sets I needed – 4th Dr companions and 13th Dr companions from B&M in Govan, Glasgow.
It was reported as having good stock as of close of play Sunday, but by the time I got there, late afternoon today, it had clearly been almost cleared out.
Plenty of Troughton Tardis’ though. When I left there was 1 UNIT set, two 13th Dr sets and 1 Dalek #2 set still on the shelves.
Also plenty of the Troughton set at B&M in Stevenston in Ayrshire, but the rest of the shelf space was taken up by the older Big Finish Dalek sets and three packs. Although this suggest they are just waiting for space to put out the newer sets.
From the stores I’ve been to, the Tardis sets are most common and plentiful and the Dalek Sets the slightly harder to get (or certainly the ones that are going fastest).
I would say that overall all of these were easier to obtain than the last B&M wave – which involved driving around multiple stores around the country. Thankfully B&M have got a pretty good presence around the UK, and visiting two or three stores should be enough to find everything.
The only problem now is that they are so new, and the demand is so high, Take heart from the fact that the same thing happened with the previous sets, and even now you can still find things like the Harry Sullivan three-pack, either in-store or on the B&M website. I remember this being the one that was most popular last time. I’m even finding plenty of the previous Dr & Dalek sets, including the 8th Dr set on these toy runs.
It seems a good omen for everyone being able to get the sets they need, eventually.

July 27th, 2020 - 8:14pmI rang the BURNLEY store at 10.30 this morning and the helpful guy told me quite a lot of Doctor Who figures had been put out by the nightshift.
So 2 hours later I arrive and are delighted to see 4 War Games TARDIS, about 5 of each new Dalek sets and about 15 of the fourth Dr Companions.
But no sign of the new UNIT set.
Still I made my purchase and was very happy.
P.S still nothing new at all in the COLNE branch.
