Booboo is there any chance you could check stock for the Tardis and Dalek set 1 around the Leicester area as I cannot seem to find any when I went hunting over most of the East Midlands yesterday. The app is not working at all for me.

Got a Fourth Doctor & Thirteenth Doctor set from Altrincham B&M yesterday. These sets are some of the best to have come from Character Options, certainly from a likeness and headsculpt perspective. It’s the first wave where I could easily get them all!

I think I may get the TARDIS at a later date and see what the variant of the UNIT set will be. Which reminds me I never did get a Jo Grant figure…

Been to a few stores across Central Scotland over the weekend for anyone who is still looking in that area.
Cumbernauld only had the friends and foes set left.
Falkirk had all sets apart from The Unit set plus sets from last year.
Bathgate had the 2nd Doctor Tardis sets and loads of last years 3 figure packs.
Livingston had pretty much all the sets.
Also went to Grangemouth, Stenhousemuir and Airdrie but they didn’t have any stock in or it had already sold out. Hope this helps someone.

I was in the Livingston store this afternoon and they still had several sets. The lady at the checkout said that they’d sold a few of them today and one person was sending them to their nephew in China!

Been to both Crawley stores and nothing in either even though the app says in stock don’t bother going. They have an allocation but I’d wait for the TARDIS and Dalek sets to show up on the app before going. By the looks of it they haven’t come down this South yet!

Thank you Character Options – bought the 4th Doctor Companion Set and Unit Set first thing this morning – they look wonderful. (Still cannot believe we have these companions!!!!) I was wondering if you were to release a Terror of the Autons boxset in the future with variant Sergent Benton and Captain Yates figurines, the third figurine could be a carnival Auton, created using a repainted Scaroth body with Auton hands, with a new sculpt of the carnival Auton head. It was just a thought. But thank you again!! A very happy person.

I see that a lot of people are struggling to find the Dalek and Tardis sets. From personal experience and from reading comments on here it’s just best to wait and then got to B&M’s where there is always plenty of stock. Booboo is helping best he can but sadly he cannot see into the future and tell us all where those sets can be found. If we all wait they may eventually turn up on amazon and EBay for the regular price.

Barnsley, Stairfoot Roundabout Have Claws, Friends and foes,2nd doctor and TARDIS and the Dalek packs. Sheffield retail Park have nothing on their invoices as yet.

I had to get a 2/Tardis set off ebay. It cost me £41 but they’ll only get more expensive over time, I suppose. I waited forever for the Pertwee Peladon set and still had to pay through the nose.

I’m increasingly annoyed by how poorly B&M distribute and handle their stock.

Hardly anything left now of Classic Who sets at Gloucester. Thanks to Booboo’s post, I got there at 9:30am this morning and managed to get 4th Doctor companions, UNIT set and 2nd Dr TARDIS. As I paid at the till, the staff member serving me told me someone had been in around 9:10am and bought ALL the Dalek sets. When I left, only 13th Doctor companions set was well stocked.

    • Dalek Eye Stalk

      July 27th, 2020 - 1:02pm

The trouble is people are buying in bulk to sell online at double or triple the price. Especially when they know buyers throughout the globe will pay that much extra on online auction sites. These sets are a great price in store, but sadly that encourages people to bulk buy and sell them on for huge profits.

    • booboo

      July 27th, 2020 - 1:19pm

they only had 3 of each set, we bought one of each so that left 4 sets in total which were most likely bought by one person for customs which happens a lot with these. The ebay thing has always happened with these but loads of last years sets are still around.

I reckon around 5% – 10% eventually ends up online (Amazon as well) leaving the other 90% -95% out there somewhere.

Booboo, for the North American crowd, I mentioned this before in a comment but seeing as how the weekend has played out exactly as I predicted for the Amazon store that’s supposed to be getting it, I emailed that store (GOGS1) on Tuesday (july 21st) and they told me it will be up to 14 days (from july 21st) before they receive the shipment of figures and put them up on amazon/website for purchase. I definitely didn’t expect them to be up this weekend and I have been proven right, so I expect that they will most likely go live Monday, Wednesday or Friday morning (based on their previous postings of the 13 TARDIS, Dalek etc), although I’m personally inclined to believe it might not even be until the week after. I hope this helps, and again, my predictions could be wrong but the 14 days is what they told me in their reply.
Thanks for your hard work and dedication Booboo, we appreciate you so much!!

Thanks for that, one of the problems here is that the official info a while ago said you would be able to pre-order but Amazon don’t do Pre-orders on “fulfilled” stock and the BBC Shop don’t generally do pre-order either.

This maybe where things have stalled a bit but i also had the impression they actually had the stock now.

Its an odd set up if these people are the new face for Doctor Who toys in the USA because apart from the Amazon contact email (and a rather random store name) there are no business /contact details at all present on the off the shelf shopify store. Early days but it all seems rather secretive.

    • Anonymous

      July 27th, 2020 - 8:02am

No problem Booboo, just happy to help everyone this side of the pond and especially you all since they don’t seem to be giving out much details. I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt as they have only just started up but so far they haven’t left… a “reliable” first impression. They’re already charging us 2.5x the retail price and I emailed them in the first week of July asking when these figures would be available and they said “within the next two weeks” and then emailed them again on the 21st only to again receive the reply “14 days at most”. It’s quite confusing, even for us.

With regards to the BBC shop comment, I can only speculate. I just find it strange that they would be getting these figures. Then again, they had a blow-out sale this weekend (managed to snag a few nice things!) so perhaps they’re making room for the new figures? One can only hope haha, I’m not too keen to pay that amazon store’s prices and the BBC shop is much more reliable, amazing prices and free shipping for over $100…sigh…

Can,t believe these have been getting out there in just three days. With the amount of comments it feels much longer. it was the fourth day last year when i managed to get them. Some people tend to have that defeatist attitude if they don,t get them first or second day (I was the same) when lots of others have already got theirs but i,ve a feeling this is going to be our week this week and we will get them. To hell with Ebay prices.

Update. Chelmsford has the Companions of the Fourth Doctor set out but not with the other Doctor Who toys. They’re randomly on a top shelf down a different toy aisle. Must be at least another 8 on the shelf. No sign of any other sets yet.

    • Gareth Pugh

      July 27th, 2020 - 10:34am

Dalek Hunter, remember the app is not intended (or run) as a statement of how much stock may or may not be on the shelf at a given store. It pulls its data from a central server at B&M so it is showing the amount of stock that a store is going to be sent (has allocated but might not have left B&M’s central warehouses yet); is in transit to the store (but may not yet have arrived), has arrived but may be sitting in the stock room – having had a glimpse at the one in my nearest B&M, it is quite messy and piles of near-identical brown cases all shrink-wrapped together on huge pallets – I now totally get why some stores say they cannot go and check, in some cases it would be an act of digging into a huge cardboard pyramid LOL) or that they do have out on shelf. That’s why as Booboo says, the App is not 100% reliable read on what you will find out on the shelves when you visit.
