B&M 2023 The History of the Daleks #15 Remembrance of the Daleks

The History of the Daleks #15 Product Code 402028 In-store Price £21.99.

B&M no longer sell online. You can search for this item on www.ebay.co.uk

This set contains:

  • Black Supreme Dalek
  • Grey Renegade Dalek

This installment for the History of the Daleks series includes a supreme Dalek and a Grey Renegade Dalek, from an episode that first aired in 1988.

For Remembrance of the Daleks, the producer and writing team sought to give the Daleks more credibility and menace. The story reveals two factions of Daleks fighting a civil war: the Grey Daleks, or ‘renegades’ led by the black Supreme Dalek and the Imperial Dalek force led by The Emperor ‘Davros’. Humanity is caught in the crossfire as both sides hunt their objective, an ancient Gallifreyan Artifact known as the ‘Hand of Omega’ through London.

I agree with the comments here now mine are in hand. Best set of Daleks in years. Sadly, following RTD’s recent comment about how the character of Davros is now offensive to wheelchair users, I suspect the missing Resurrection of the Daleks ‘creator’ set might have been cancelled (and the Destiny and Revelation sets). Given Davros upgraded his ride for Remembrance to something less resembling an earth-made wheelchair, I’m holding out hope for a Remembrance Imperial Dalek creator set.

If RTD has a problem with disabled villains, then he has a problem with the actual Daleks themselves. Daleks are just as much “Wheelchair users” as Davros is. They are just more mutated than he is. Honestly, RTD is the final nail in the coffin for the failed experiment which was Nu Who.

I wasn’t going to buy this set, as I already have the original REMEMBRANCE set from years ago, but then noticed that they have fixed the stumpy little eye-stalks from that set, replacing them with something that looks much more realistic and in proportion… good show!!!

These have arrived at Anglia Retail Park Ipswich!! Mercifully the first branch I checked; saving me repeated marathons across 5 stores from Ipswich to Colchester!!!

Would rather have the opportunity to buy ANY of these character sets….real postcode lottery it seems and even then you have to face the greed of the scalpers. Like some sort of Takeshis Castle in buying action figures. But in seriousness yes would be great to see a map,

Derry Crecent Link had 10 more White-and-Gold Daleks sets on Thursday 12th October. Also 6 sets of TARDIS and 6th Doctor. All on the shelf! At lunchtime. Looks like they had a restock. No Hurndall Dalek sets seen. Strand Road, in contrast, had no new sets on their shelves. Hope this helps some of you ;D

I just realised these are the two Dalek’s in Al’s last video, next to the Imperial Shuttle. Al’s putting Easter Eggs in his reveal videos! 🙂
