Stocks Arrive – B&M 2021 September Sets Information on Product Codes / Barcodes

Stocks have now arrived and are starting to appear in stores.

We have closed comments on all other B&M posts so they can be concentrated here.

At the time of writing option 3 on published store telephone numbers that allowed you to speak to a member of staff has been removed. You could try the main customer service number, 0330 838 9000 and ask to be put through to your local store or try and find out its direct number.

Shown below are the product codes and bar codes. The app is not allowing you check locations at this time.

We strongly advise you make whatever checks you can yourself to check store availability before traveling.

To find your nearest store visit www.bmstores.co.uk or use the map below. Please contact www.bmstores.co.uk if you require more information.

The B&M Map:

This map is a guide only and shouldn’t be used as a definite indication that a particular store has stock

The map shows most stores, if you see any missing please leave a comment. As the app will not allow you to check stock locations at the moment we may use this map to show the distribution pattern and possible stock locations.

If you see stock and take a picture you can send it to [email protected] and we can add it to the map or you can link to an image you are hosting yourself.

This map has layers, if you click on the icon in the blue header at the top left of the map in the you can select which layers you want to see.

A Dalek will be placed to the right of the store concerned but you will need to zoom in to separate the 2 or click off the store location layer.

Please note as the situation on the shop floor is so fluid we will no longer list stock on the map. As far as we can tell the initial delivery for stores that have had stock was for 12 of each figure set and 6 of each Dalek. As you might expect most stores are selling out of Daleks at a faster rate than the sets. Some stores listed have already sold out of all stock

Still no news on the Ikon website about these being distributed in Australia. Can’t see anything for the US either.
Options appear to be – pay scalpers now or, as some helpful person suggested above, wait 6 to 9 months and hope some dregs appear at a close-to-retail price on eBay.
The cheapest I can buy a Day of the Daleks set right now is £42 on eBay, plus £32 in postage, so only £74 a set!

The line is dying for international fans and there’s silence from CO about it.

I sent Ikon a message asking if they intend to get the current wave, or any in future. They responded:

      “Hi David,
      Thanks for your email.
At this stage, we have all Dr Who products by Character Group listed on our website, and we aren’t expecting more in the foreseeable future. Please note, this may change. Keep an eye on our website as soon as stock is announced, we list straight away.
      Thanks”

Picked up Key of Marinus in the Tonbridge store this afternoon around 3pm . Couple of those left still.
No Sensorites or Day of the Daleks, but a handful of Power of the Daleks there.
Tried Tunbridge Wells around 3.45 just before closing , and sadly no sign of any sets.

I know it’s impossible to say, but what’s the thinking on whether they’ll be enough Dalek sets to go round? Is each store only getting one box of figures each and that’s it? What with the Dalek sets often seemingly selling out completely within hours/a day of being put on the shelves, I’m wondering if I should be checking my local B&M stores that haven’t had stock yet as far as I know daily? Or do you think the stores that put them on shelves later than these first ones will at least last a few days to a week?

I’m sure I read the Marinus sets get shipped a box of 12 units, and the Sensorites also get shipped in a box of 12 units, whereas the 2 Dalek sets share a shipper, so there is only 6 of each. No idea why this is.

Scalper had 8 sets of the day of the daleks set on at £35 a set. No wonder nobody can get any at normal price.

      September 12th, 2021 - 10:28pm

They should limit it to no more than 2 of each set. Then at least it’s fair to everyone, especially when it is a limited edition that can only be bought exclusively at b & m.

    • Haza14

      September 12th, 2021 - 11:04pm

Got to agree Mr Who. Scalpers buying all the stock as soon as it goes on shelves is just ridiculous. I’m sure they’re also going quick because collectors are finding out where they are on here as well and getting to the stores as quick as they can. But in some areas it’s almost like scalpers are dictating the prices paid because they just buy all the stock! Must be hard for Character to predict actual demand as well when they do this, as I’ve noticed that some scalpers have fallen foul in recent years, having the sell off some of the 3 figure sets at reduced prices! Let’s hope the same happens again and there’s plenty to go round, with the Dalek sets too.

B&M are a pile it high sell it cheap store and they dont care where or from who the money comes from, trying to limit sales in this type of store would only leave staff open to a hurl of abuse at the checkout and I’m sure they get enough of that as it is.

Besides many scalpers do it for a living and would just go in with a load of mates, family or multiple visits and clear the shelves that way.

There are also some good people who buy multiples for friends and to help others out who cant get them.

    • booboo

      September 13th, 2021 - 8:26am

looks to me as if there are half the amount of Daleks as sets because they have the same code, shops have been sent a box of each code so that means only 6 of each Dalek Set

So 6 customers all Daleks are gone but 6 of each 3 figure set still left on shelves. There is still a lot of stock to get sent out.

    Hi,
Nothing at Tunbridge Wells – sorry to report
It would be so much easier if there was an option to purchase online as it would save so much time and money trekking around the stores in the hope that the sets would be available.
I will report on Welshpool when I have the opportunity and return back to Wales after the holiday.
