B&M 2020 Ace Set UK Product Code 364315. Available from 8th November 2020.

This set celebrates Remembrance of the Daleks from Season 25 Episode 3, first broadcast in October 1988.

The TARDIS arrives in London in 1963, where the Doctor and Ace discover that two rival factions of Daleks – one loyal to the Dalek Emperor and one to the Dalek Supreme – are seeking the Hand of Omega, a powerful Time Lord device that the first Doctor hid there during an earlier sojourn on Earth.

The Daleks are focusing their search around Coal Hill School – the school that the Doctor’s grand-daughter Susan attended – while a military unit led by Group Captain Gilmore is attempting to resist their incursions.

The figures in this set feature the Imperial Dalek and Ace as well as accessories including backpack and RPG launcher.

Speaking of the new release, Al Dewar, Creative Director said: “This year has seen a cascade of new sets for collectors and fans and these latest two sets are favourites of mine because they represent unique moments in Doctor Who that many fans including myself remember… wonderful stuff!’

my b&m didn’t have any. I asked one guy in their he said try Smyths toys. Another woman checked on the product gun and said that the warehouse said -816 which means they haven’t got a delivery in yet but then how did Carlisle get them in yet because they use the same warehouse? this is confusing!

Aberdeen has plenty of 3-figure packs from both waves, plus half a dozen 5th TARDIS. No Ace or Davros packs, looks like they mostly haven’t hit shelves just yet.

Maybe it’s due to the fact they have just been released and takes a little while to add them on.

Probably the latest the sets have ever been released to a release date, some seem to get sets days before the release so seems more consistent , at least at the moment. Just have to see how it goes next week.

The only thing I can assume is that maybe they are organising them better this time round so most get stock within the same time frame rather than some areas getting sets days which can sometimes be before the official release date or even weeks before other stores, especially after the last wave fiasco. Maybe they are just taking their time this time, either that or shipment has been delayed.

I’ll check my local B&M stores this weekend and report back. I’ll show the assistants the barcodes and product codes of the November sets but, for some reason when I showed them the product and barcodes of the Dalek sets from the October wave, it was on the system but, there was no date or time on when it would arrive (this was before we heard that the all of the stock has been sent to the Northen hub) so, I’m not sure if they’ve heard the news of the two new sets and when they’ll arrive from delivery on the system.

    • Doctorus

      November 20th, 2020 - 1:52pm

‘Just called B&M Belgrave Gate, gave them the product codes, ‘on the system but does not say if it’ll arrive or not. Asked the assistant on the phone to check the shelf, they only have the 9th Doctor 3 pack figures and the 13th Doctor 3 packs (July 2020 wave). I’ve a feeling the area where I live will not be getting them in stock again =(

Sorry for the late reply, but I did go to two of my local B&M stores.

B&M Haymarket: Had 1 X Claws of Axos set (with two captain yates), plenty of classic companions sets and plenty of Friends and Foe of the 13th Doctor sets. No, October or November sets. (That could change for the November sets)

Can someone who knows the Nottingham stores advise which ones now sell Who stock? Up to a few years back Radford, Beeston and Lady Bay didn’t, but things may have changed now. I live halfway between Nottm & Derby and have been concentrating on the stores at Ilkeston, Aston Lane, Meteor Centre and Spondon, all of which have most of the lines.

@Spacewarp The large store in the retail park by Netherfield usually has a full range of Who products… I’ve seen all of the last few exclusive figure sets in there. I don’t know what they currently have in stock tho. The one in Lady Bay almost never has any in stock. Good luck!

    • Spacewarp

      November 22nd, 2020 - 7:23pm

@Necros Safari. Thanks. I’ll put that on my emergency list, since it’s a half hour drive for me. Last time I was in Lady Bay about 2 years ago all they had was a couple of Regen Tardises and I asked when they’d get any more stock in, only to be told they don’t stock them anymore. Never went back.

In other news, just been to look round Aston Lane and Spondon in Derby and they have plenty of the last wave in, including 2 History of the Daleks#1 again, and about 5 Androzani. Which just goes to show that if you wait until the rush dies down, you can always pick up what you want eventually.

All of the stock for the October release has been sent to the Northern hub, which distributes to NI, Scotland and the North of England. Unfortunately, (due to B&M’s mishaps), there’ll be 0 stock for the October wave going down south. And, I doubt that the B&M stores which have extra stock, will re-distribute to the stores which are void of the October wave.

I’d quite like to see a ‘Dalek’ set with a regenerated metaltron dalek (gold band around the mid section) with either a green jumper 9th doctor or Rose using her series 2 sculpt with a new torso wrap and hair sculpt.

A revolution of the daleks set with 13 or Jack (if he’s in the story) with a 2005 dalek with new claw arm attachment

A season 12 4th doctor and davros from genesis of the daleks

A pilot set with a star eyed dalek and black coat (requiring a longer coat sculpt) and red hoodie 12th doctor

Resurrection of the daleks set with Turlough and a drone dalek

I’d love it to be, but I presume if we do get a genesis set this year, it will be 2 daleks, though I’d love to see a davros rerelease, these are just ideas for sets similar to the coal hill and witch’s familiar sets that have a dalek related figure and a doctor/companion figure

There’s loads and I mean loads of the Autumn 2020 range – HOTD #4 & #5, 5th and Tardis etc at B&M Foss Island, York.

My concern is that if they don’t shift the previous stock we won’t get the Remembrance set or the Witches set.

    • booboo

      November 11th, 2020 - 3:26pm

As they have are different product codes it shouldn’t be a problem, the computer just sees them as a “new item” and won’t connect them with unsold / slow moving stock.

its areal shame these Autumn sets might on appearance not have sold well because of the poor distribution.

B&M dont tend to redistribute stock either so it will probably end up being sold off cheap.

People down south are crying out for these sets.

If i could get a load delivered i could help some people.

I know, right? Plus, i was scrolling through ebay yesterday and I saw all 4 History of The Daleks sets for a WHOPPING £170! And another 4 for £160! That threw me off a bit. Why, oh why is B&M’s distribution’s bad? D= (Sorry for being negative)

I dont mind negativity when its justified, and this is.

    • Prototype dalek

      November 9th, 2020 - 7:40pm

It was a case of some people who easily got them in areas in the North and putting their hands over their ears and saying we got them and so i don’t believe this happened.

B&M really should’ve upped their game. Or at least when they received stock, pause the distribution for the ones which was meant to be sent to the southern hub, and then when the southern hub was ready to distribute, then resume it. I don’t know how these things work to be honest with you. I just stated an idea that’s all. But, then again B&M doesn’t care at all.

    • prototype dalek

      November 9th, 2020 - 8:03pm

Even B&M themselves for a period of time kept saying stock was evenly distributed so it was all a case of putting their head in the sand all round till it was too late and all stock had gone.

    • booboo

      November 9th, 2020 - 8:09pm

What sort of puzzles me is that there seems to be loads of the first wave stacked high in many stores, yet the October wave delivered to only half the country seems scarce, its like there is a hoard of stock somewhere.

    • Doctorus

      November 9th, 2020 - 8:11pm

I even called my local B&M a month ago to actually RESERVE my two Dalek sets, only to be told in about a week later, that they’re not going to get the sets. But the weird thing is was that, when I recently visited that local B&M store there, an assistant had a scanner on him, entered the product code and it said that 8 dalek sets are triggered. I’ve no idea if they’ve even arrived yet. Has all of the October range sold out, Prototype Dalek? (Apologies for disturbing you and if I came across as aggressive)

As far as I know, there is none in the warehouse and its all in stores, what stores and where is another question entirely. Though its interesting even now some stores have loads of both waves still. And like you said booboo, stores have the summer wave still but not much of the October wave, all I can think of is that there is missing stock somewhere or they produced less this time round.

I’m guessing CO will not do anything to rectify the problem as it’s sent out to B&M’s distribution centres and it’s B&M’s responsibilty. Even though CO has made and promoted these sets, Booboo?

The two B and Ms near me in the north have shelves full of the second wave but nobody seems that interested and they have everything. The people who wanted them seemed to have got them or are unaware of new stock. To keep the ebb and flow, they should give it a few weeks+ to see if they move, if not, move stock to areas where there aren,t any. Thus Making it easier to spot new stock on the shelves when it arrives. As i said near me, the current stock isn,t moving, they won,t be in any hurry to put the Ace and 13th up, if the spaces are full, for those that want them.

in truth though, these sets have had better PR and exposure than ever before this year as BBC studios who are now run commercially now feature them on all social media channels and websites with their millions and millions of followers.

Amesbury update – zero in stock, zero in warehouse. Not restocking. In the words I’d the Brig “Well, here we go again”

I can only take the Amesbury poster at his word but there have been no other sightings or any on ebay, i have asked them for a picture

I now have reason to believe these sets have not arrived yet.

I think the problem a lot of Northern and Scottish stores may face now is supply outstripping demand, which considering quite a few of these stores still have full shelves, seems to be already happening. And considering that B&M don’t redistribute, all they can do is reduce them and sell them for cheap, as like others have said why will those stores get the next set’s when the last set’s are still sitting on the shelves.

    • booboo

      November 10th, 2020 - 9:26am

yes where i am lots of the early sets on shelves but October wave more or less gone.

The other problem maybe partly due to casual buyers and even some core buyers staying clear of shops they don’t really need to go to. For many putting food on the table has been their only priority since March.

And now there is no way to check stock which in a pandemic is not ideal for those nervous about venturing out for a fruitless journey.

Many people have had to visit several stores to pick up everything.

Its been the worst year to release the bests sets.

In fairness to the user it may just be that they have them in stock in their store warehouse but the order hasn’t been added onto their system yet. With my old retail job we had to confirm receipt of delivery of goods (usually within a two to three day window) before it appeared in our digital stock system.

Given that we’re in the midst of a pandemic lockdown it may be that “non priority stock” (toys, gifts, etc.) aren’t being processed immediately so that the essentials stock is accounted for and put out first.

Obviously just theorising, I don’t know how B&Ms stock management system operates but it’s got potential. More so given that I spoke to a Salisbury staff member about a week ago and she said central distribution was anticipating stock for the 8th of November and now their stock scanners are saying central has zero stock and no new estimated arrival date. Either they’ve been delayed at Character’s end or they’re currently sat in stock rooms in stores waiting to be added to their systems and put out.

      November 10th, 2020 - 10:33am

bit more to it than that, ebay is also a good judge, the minuet they hit stores they are on ebay within hours.

    • TheOtherDoc

      November 10th, 2020 - 11:39am

It’s all very frustrating. The distribution blunder with the last collection of sets is seriously off putting. This was part of the reason I gave up collecting after the TRU collapse because finding stock was always a nightmare after that.

I got very lucky with my local store stocking most of the Big Finish Dalek sets out of the blue, then the War Games TARDIS wave. There has been zero sign of the October wave my way at all. I had to resort to eBay just to get the 5th TARDIS in my collection (thankfully for a reasonable price that I was willing to pay) but it doesn’t bode well for getting these two new sets at the moment. And they’re ones that will fill some significant gaps in my collection.

It’s still early days obviously and I have hope, but not much of it.

What led you to believe the sets have not arrived yet booboo?

    • booboo

lack of reports / ebay and other factors

So you think it will be more the 23rd due to lack of confirmed movement?

I have only got one set and that’s only because of a friend up north! Not trying to belittle your problems by saying I have one by the way! I’m as frustrated as the next person! Hopefully the coal Hill and witch’s familiar sets come down here.

I have bought the October sets on eBay because nothing in the South West – I was paying out loads on petrol anyway so in the end I did not mind paying the extra . Just the Tardis set to buy now but may wait for this to come down South

Me too! I live in Cornwall and I managed to get the Zygon set on E Bay for £25 so for what petrol would have cost me I thought that was quite reasonable and didn’t have to risk going into various stores hunting! I just hope we get the next 2 sets down this way!

Any of the July 2020 and October 2020 sets in B&M Stores in Leicester on the app, booboo? ‘Was considering to go out today but, I’d thought I double check.

Checking locations stock on the app no longer works, B&M have said they turned it off as it wasn’t “live” and inaccurate

Many thanks for your help, before booboo. I’m considering giving up since I feel like there’s nothing else happening in the local B&M stores where I live.

When you mean the TARDIS sets, do you mean the 2nd doctor and TARDIS set or do you mean the 5th doctor and TARDIS sets, Bakerloo Line?

I picked up the 2nd Doctor and TARDIS, UNIT Claws of Axos and the Romana and Sarah Jane sets from the Haymarket store. Did you see any of the new october sets at that Haymarket Store, bakerloo line?

      November 7th, 2020 - 4:12pm

I have not seen any of the new October sets in the Leicester area I’m afraid, it may take time for them to arrive. Same with these 2 new sets, although the Haymarket store is usually good

Are these still scheduled for the 8th or are they delayed? Usually at this point some people find them in stores and some end up on ebay.
