I can’t really believe the Time of The Doctor sets have all sold, Last time I looked there was still 1000 in stock.

Well either someone has bought them all, or FPI have pulled them, because none of the above seem to be there now.

I suspect that they’ve been pulled like you say in order to relist them at the standard prices. I went looking for the Curator set just before the sale and got the “Not found” page then as well,

Great sale from FPI, IMO, in fact the only Black Friday event I bothered with. I bought more than Who merchandise from them though..

I ordered the Black Shirt 12th doctor figure from Forbidden planet. And they took forever to dispatch, it said up to 14-28 days of delivery.

    • Voldermort

      November 28th, 2016 - 11:16pm

I hope it no longer than 7 days. They can’t really take 14 days to deliver. On their website it states the last point you can order before Christmas is the 16th Dec, so that would suggest delivery will be under 7 days.

I put my order in on Friday morning and have just had despatch confirmation in the last half hour or so. Not sure if they work through these in chronological order or not.

      November 30th, 2016 - 11:37pm

I ordered mine on Friday in the early afternoon and am yet to hear anything? Why is it Toy R Us and Forbidden Planet UK has despatch within a day or two, but FPI takes ages?

It can’t be to do with number of sales, beacuse I got bought something from Toyrus after FP order, and got it before.

I bought the impossibe set, as i wanted it and apparently there is not many of them left, the curator set because well isnt it obvious?! Also it is the NUMBER 1 bestseller in the whole of FP! (last time i checked), the tote bag because it was only 99p and i liked the design and finally the time of the doctor set as i liked all the accessories. All for under £35 including P&P

I hope that character and underground toys have realised that £30 for those sets is too much like the £15 figures at toys r us. Hopefully if they make more, they are cheaper 🙂

Sometimes they have to charge more for sets that contain parts that they can never use again. The 12th Doctor was only £15 because they made 4 versions of it and can keep reusing that sculpt for every 12th Doctor to come. Curator and TOTD set were £30 because they can’t use those parts on any other figure again.

      November 27th, 2016 - 9:14am

Yes… most people don’t understand the costs of making these figures… especially if it’s going to be a one off like the Curator (old 4). I don’t see them making any variants of the Curator! Lol
(Maybe Curator in trench coat and scarf… secret agent Curator.. lol)

Only 19 Impossible Sets, and a very large 543 Ace’s. No wonder they have been put on Sale, how many TOTD sets did they make? 1185 is a ridiculous amount to still be around.

    • booboo

      November 26th, 2016 - 6:45pm

probably around 6000 world wide but it was very expensive here the price never seemed right to me on this set when it was about £12 – £14 in aus and the states

Good bargains, If you notice, bar Ace which in itself is a second release, all these reductions have been on Nu Who figures. I wonder is that significant, also I think your average customer doesn’t want to spend £30 on one figure.

      November 26th, 2016 - 11:14am

Of recent there’s been more “new series” figures than “classic” released…that’s the only significance.

Hopefully they will make a ‘Power of the Daleks’ set next year to celebrate the animation. We can dream…

Ordered a Curator set, 2 TOTD sets and the Impossible Set. It was supposed to be about £45 but I got to the end of the checkout and was only charged £0.01! I’ve had an email of the order confirmation and everything, must be a glitch in the system or something. I’ll be really happy if they arrive – now that’s a black Friday deal! 🙂

    • Bundy

      November 26th, 2016 - 9:49am

I got that too and thought RESULT! – then read they just charge 1p on your card to confirm it is valid at time of checkout and charge the rest when they actually ship. Still a bargain all the same!

    • DannyTheNerd

      November 26th, 2016 - 9:53am

I tried doing that but it still says £45 for me xD You guys got very lucky!

    • Tom Baker Plush

      November 26th, 2016 - 10:47am

The £0.01 thing is just a deposit, they charge you that though SagePay before charging you the rest directly to my understanding. Never seen them do it for a non-preorder item before I ordered my TOTD set yesterday though

    • Jordan Scott

      November 26th, 2016 - 11:07am

Oh well, I’ve still saved over £90 on my order thanks to the black Friday deals! It did seem too good to be true…

Omg i got that 1p thing aswell! Unfortuantly it goes to the normal price later 🙂

    • Cyberman Bill

      November 27th, 2016 - 9:30am

The 1p thing is a thing that credit card companies do to make sure that everything is working with the card you used! Companies have been doing this for years…. nothing new and nothing to get excited about… they will charge the rest right before it ships or when it ships.

  • Doctor Mysterio

    November 26th, 2016 - 12:36am

Finally got the Curator set at a reasonable price. Glad I held out on this one.
