Big Finish The Lives of Captain Jack Volume 02
Available to order from www.bigfinish.com
Captain Jack is back, and he’s never been better dressed!
Coming out in June 2019,Captain Jack Harkness and the Sixth Doctor swap coats in The Lives of Captain Jack Volume Two.
John Barrowman reprises his role as the dashing omnisexual Time Agent, Captain Jack, in a second volume of audio adventures from Big Finish Productions in association with BBC Studios.
In The Lives of Captain Jack Volume Two, Captain Jack takes on fake news, trench warfare and the Sixth Doctor’s dress sense in three new stories:
1. Piece of Mind by James Goss
When the Sixth Doctor falls dying into his arms, Jack must carry on in his place. Is the universe ready for a whole new kind of Doctor?
2. What Have I Done? by Guy Adams
On the battlefields of World War I, something is hunting in the trenches. Jack must try and save the life of a wounded soldier.
3. Driving Miss Wells by James Goss
Alien invasions, stolen planets and burning skies – Newsreader Trinity Wells used to tell everyone the world was ending. One day she stopped believing it. Will her new chauffeur change her mind?
John Barrowman’s Captain Jack made his memorable first appearance in television’s Doctor Who revival in 2005, inspiring head writer and executive producer, Russell T Davies, to create the spin-off series Torchwood for him.
Producer of The Lives of Captain Jack and Torchwood audio series at Big Finish, James Goss, tells us more about this second box set: “As we had such a great time doing the first volume it seemed a lovely idea to do another. Amazingly, John managed to find time for us AND capture a nation’s heart in the jungle. Hearing him face off against Colin Baker’s Doctor is the joy we’ve all been waiting for.”
The Lives of Captain Jack Volume Two, out for release in June 2019, is available for pre-order now from Big Finish at £24.99 on CD or £19.99 on download, rising to its general release price of £34.99 on CD or £29.99 on download.

The One and Only
May 31st, 2019 - 8:38pmIs this canon with show? As Jack wasn’t in the TARDIS when this body died and even if he died he would have changed into his seventh body. Or did he not actually die at all and this is just a ruse?
SJF
May 31st, 2019 - 9:51pmWell this isn’t out yet so no one knows quite how it works out yet, but I can tell you for a fact that the death of the Sixth Doctor in this won’t be his actual death that happens in The Brink of Death. It’s obviously just a fakeout/timeline that’ll be undone by the end of the story.
Like the Fifth Doctor was briefly killed off in Diary of River Song
Colin Forever
August 16th, 2019 - 5:37pmDon’t worry, Jack saves six from regenerating and he spends the majority of the story recovering in the TARDIS and occasionally advising Jack and what to do until he shows up to help Jack in the Climax. He then says he’ll wipe his own mind later to avoid messing up the timelines.

Doctor Stu
May 3rd, 2019 - 7:44pmThe woman who plays Lois is very famous now so I doubt she’d have free time
Sean Bassett
May 1st, 2019 - 11:05pmThis sounds like a lot of fun. I hope Captain Jack’s version of the Sixth Doctor has ‘Fab-u-lousssss!’ as a catchphrase.
Doctor Stu
May 1st, 2019 - 8:58pmI’m so glad Trinity Wells is back, Moffat seemed to never use her as far as I can remember she sort of disappeared after David Tennant left. Greatly underused and would have been such a cool decision to include her as the main character in a Sarah Jane adventures episode
The Flying Shark
May 2nd, 2019 - 9:16amShe was mentioned in an Eleventh Doctor novel, but The End of Time was her last Who TV appearance. Not sure if she appeared in SJA or Torchwood after this, but she was seen in a couple of Titan’s Tenth Doctor comics too.
SJA
May 2nd, 2019 - 12:02pmBelieve it or not, Trinity Wells and the French Newsreader are the only characters to appear in Doctor Who, Torchwood and SJA.
Daz
May 1st, 2019 - 7:02pmI always knew that was a good look!
