Big Finish 240 Hour of the Cybermen

Answering a call from UNIT, the Doctor arrives in London to find the streets deserted, apart from looters in possession of a valuable commodity – water.

Available to order from www.bigfinish.com

Britain is suffering an extreme and bizarre drought. The cause is suspected to be extra-terrestrial.

The discovery of a signal being transmitted into space, and of a spacecraft whose crew are desiccated corpses, provides a possible answer. But the true enemy is an old foe of the Doctor’s.

The Cybermen have been patient, setting their plans in place over a number of years. As the final stage is implemented, in the darkest hour, the Doctor must identify who among his allies he can trust.

They should bring these Cybermen into the modern series. You can just imagine David Banks encountering Jodie Wittaker.

“So Doctor, a new gender, otherwise our anticipation of your presence was .. entirely .. accurate.”

Which logo though? When you say classic do you mean the one used in the doctor in questions era, in this case trial of a time lord logo or the generic logo used for all doctors, really there is no such thing as a ‘classic’ logo. I remember when the McCoy logo was being used friends of mine complained and wanted the neon tube version back. Surely what matters is the content not the logo? If the cd/dvd/book is good then that’s all that matters to me

David Banks’s Cyberleader was a character in its own right. Very distinctive vocalisations for an apparently emotionless being.
So happy to have these guys back.
    “EX-CELLENT!”

What? You mean the modern voices that mimic the troughton era voices… I never liked the 70’s/80’s cybermen voices, too emotional for cybermen.

I’d never associated the modern stuff as being based on the Troughton era Cybermen.

      Eradicate them!

The cyber voice Briggs uses is based on the electronic moonbase/Tomb voice
